A police reform bill in honour of George Floyd that will ban chokeholds and "qualified immunity" for law enforcement officials has been passed by the US House of Representatives. The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act would also ban no-knock warrants, mandate data collection on police encounters, prohibit racial and religious profiling and redirect funding to community-based policing programs. The 220-212 vote comes nine months after Mr Floyd , a black man, died when a police officer in Minneapolis pressed a knee on his neck for several minutes. As he died, Mr Floyd was repeatedly heard to say: "I can't breathe." His death in May 2020 prompted massive protests across the US and around the world calling for an end to racial injustice and police brutality. The pair have set tongues wagging after appearing to be caught on camera in the same house. When something is really dirty and disgusting, it can be incredibly satisfying to watch it get cleaned and return to its proper state. Brandon Anderson, who helps professional cleaners find clients, recently showed off a video of someone doing just this to a filthy carpet. However, viewers who saw the clip on TikTok were horrified - as they initially just assumed that the carpet was a chic dark grey colour. But as the expert went at the fabric with a steam cleaner, the carpet can be seen to completely transform back to its original shade. And it wasn't meant to be grey at all - it was in fact beige. The carpet had so much dirt and grime in it that it had darkened over time due to lack of care. Thousands of people have watched the clip, mesmerised by the cleaning process. A SEVEN-year-old girl has died days after a house fire that killed married couple and their four-year-old daughter. Little Iviee-May Hall died in Bristol's Childrens' Hospital last week where she had been in a critical condition. Married couple Daniel Rudge, 29, and Kaylie Rudge, 28, also died in the fire at their home in Clayton Road, Exeter, on February 21 . Their four-year-old twin daughter Lillie-Rose Rudge died the same day after being taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital. Devon's senior coroner Philip Spinney opened inquests into all four deaths today. Mr Spinney said the causes are yet to be established and further investigations are pending. He adjourned the inquests for "further inquiries to be made" including the preparation of a full fire investigation report into how the blaze started. HOMES under the Hammer's Martin Roberts has hit back at fans who slammed him for his 'messy' house. The property expert took exception to comments about his home as he presented an episode of his online show. Martin, 57, films his weekly Property Clinic from a room in his house in Bath, and was rather taken aback by the reaction of viewers. Introducing the YouTube show, he said: "Hello, hello. Martin here with your Property Clinic. "I came into my room, which by the way, someone has complained about being too messy." "Well, you know what? This is my messy room," he said defiantly, as he sat with filming equipment, recordings, books and even a teddy bear on a bookshelf behind him. A long dark coat and bag also hung on the closed door.
