IT was a sad moment when Toys 'R' Us officially closed earlier this year. But, there is some good news for fans of the brand - especially those who loved Geoffrey the Giraffe. Toys 'R' Us appears to have had a relaunch this week, after one customer spotted a Geoffrey the Giraffe pop-up display - with the classic Toys 'R' Us logo and the same font and colours. The customer - who goes by the name of @exclusivebenji on Instagram - posted a photo of the pop-up, captioned "Geoffrey's back!" In October this year, the company announced it had cancelled an auction to sell off its assets, revealing it would launch a new brand - Geoffrey's Toy Box, under the name Geoffrey, LLC - which would be sold in pop-up displays. And it seems the relaunch has come sooner than expected, with 600 displays set to roll out just in time for Christmas. The Chinese owner of Hamleys, the world's most famous toy retailer, has begun exploring a sale of the company just days after reporting multimillion-pound losses. Toys R Us in Hull has further reduced hundreds of items in its clearance sales - with many items now being sold at half price. The major retailer announced it was going into administration last month, putting jobs at risk at the store in Kingston Retail Park in Hull. Immediately after the news of the closures were announced, the retailer confirmed it was offering up to 30 per cent off everything, however this reduction has now been increased to up to 50 per cent.
