A NEW programme on Channel 4 is tracking the weight loss journeys of ordinary members of the public. The woman in charge is "detox diva" Galia Grainger aka The Slim Reaper - known for the cutthroat style and incredible results. Who is Galia Grainger? Galia Grainger, 60, is a weight-loss expert who lives in South London and has one grown-up son. Originally from Uzbekistan, she grew up in the country and spent some time in Latvia before moving to the UK in 1989. After working in Oxford Street, she admits she had a “nice life” but her weight began to spiral. The self-confessed "diet dominatrix" founded Slimmeria, two weight loss retreats in Crowhurst, East Sussex and in Ilfracombe in Devon. A woman who lost four stone after her holiday was spoiled by looking at thin women on the beach has become a personal trainer. Jules Duncan’s weight spiralled out of control after gorging herself on ham and cheese sandwiches, packets of crisps and chocolate. But the shame she felt about her body ruined a trip to Ibiza in 2011 and led her to slim down from 15st 2Ib to 11st.
