Vacancies have opened up for two cooks on the Bahamas-based cruise liner, with a junior sous chef and chef de cuisine needed on board. The role of junior sous chef involves "flawlessly" executing set recipes and ensuring all food leaving the galley is finished to perfection. Applicants need to be prepared for a career at sea and be comfortable living and working in a small space onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel. In early 2020, Disney Cruise Line will establish a new home port in New Orleans. The cruise line also announced a highly anticipated return to the Hawaiian Islands; cruises out of Puerto Rico; and popular itineraries to tropical destinations from Florida and California. Disney Cruise Line said its first-ever sailings out of New Orleans, starting in February 2020, will be on the Disney Wonder. In a sure sign that summer is just around the corner, the first cruise ship of the season will be visiting Liverpool on Thursday. The Fred Olsen cruise liner, MS Black Watch , is a familiar sight at Princes Parade and this week’s visit is only the first of a whopping 18 cruises from Liverpool’s Pier Head in 2018. The ship holds 807 passengers and has a cinema, shopping arcade, five bars and a swimming pool. The best vantage point to see the vessel is from Wirral waterfront or Crosby beach. Last year, thousands of people made their way to the city’s waterfront to witness impressive ships such as the Disney Magic Cruise and the Queen Elizabeth - both of which will return to the Mersey in 2018.
