X Factor will be returning to ITV despite claims it had been axed after 15 years on our screens. According to reports, Simon Cowell is planning on shaking up the whole show, following a dip in ratings over the last few seasons. A source claimed the talent show as we know and love it has ‘100% been axed’, which has now been shut down. ‘It has been 100% axed. The show is done,’ they said. ‘It’s being replaced by a show that’ll only be for celebrities.’ The show in question will mean members of the public won’t be taking part, and so fans won’t be able to ‘see new talent being discovered’. ‘It’s the end of an era,’ the insider told the Daily Star , adding that a dozen members of the production team have also been made redundant. Most sons would not want their parents anywhere near social media and Christian Pulisic must be hoping that his father Mark does not take to Twitter this weekend. Mark’s last tweet, possibly at the request of Christian, was hastily deleted after the forward’s dad expressed his sadness at his son getting only 22 minutes in the Premier League defeat at Everton. Pulisic got 105 minutes at Wembley on Saturday and could have made this FA Cup final his own . If Mark feels any sadness on Sunday, it will be because the American did not take one of his numerous chances that would have prevented the game ever reaching another penalty shoot-out. Should Mark scroll through some of the remarks made about his son, then he will find that most concentrate on his misses.
