Between 1992 and 1997, Moby garnered eight Top 10 hits on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, including "Move (You Make Me Feel So Good)", "Feeling So Real", and "James Bond Theme (Moby Re-Version)". Over the course of his career, he was nominated for several Grammy Awards and is currently nominated for the GAFFA-Prisen Award for Best International Album and Best International Artist. JCB demolition row threatens to bulldoze first day of Boris Johnson’s India trip
Boris Johnson has been embroiled in controversy on the first morning of his long-awaited diplomatic visit to India after inaugurating a new JCB factory, one day after the company’s machines were used to illegally bulldoze Muslim homes and businesses in Delhi. JCB is owned by Lord Bamford , who is close with the Prime Minister and backed his Conservative leadership bid in 2019. Through his business interests, he has also donated at least £10 million in cash and gifts to the Conservatives since 2001. On Thursday, civil society activists and members of the Indian public accused the under-fire Mr Johnson of carrying out an ill-timed visit to the plant in Gujarat, the home state of Narendra Modi , the Indian prime minister. Sushant Singh, a senior fellow at the Centre for Policy Research, a Delhi-based think tank, said: “The people working in Boris Johnson’s office are clearly unaware of the major human rights controversy over the use of JCB machinery in the bulldozing of … [Read more...] about JCB demolition row threatens to bulldoze first day of Boris Johnson’s India trip
Five ways Meghan and Harry’s royal exit mirrored Princess Diana’s life
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's royal story has mirrored Princess Diana's in key respects, some intentional, some less so. The Duke of Sussex regularly mentions his mother, including when he launched lawsuits against the media and during the couple's Oprah Winfrey tell-all. However, the comparisons are more extensive than even the prince himself has gone into detail to describe. Suing the Media Harry and Meghan have launched seven media lawsuits since September 2019 and while Princess Diana was not quite as busy as her son she did make use of her legal team. Diana sued Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) in 1993 after both the Sunday Mirror and Daily Mirror published pictures of her working out in a leotard and cycling shorts, which had been taken in the privacy of a gym. The newspaper group apologized after a backlash and eventually settled out of court, as did the gym owner Bryce Taylor, who sold the photos, the BBC reported. Harry has also sued MGN for phone … [Read more...] about Five ways Meghan and Harry’s royal exit mirrored Princess Diana’s life
