The cast of Dawson's Creek has reunited for the first time in 20 years. In honour of the teen soap's 20th anniversary, the cast - James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Michelle Williams, Busy Phllips, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe and Mary Beth Peil - came together for this week's issue of EW. The cast did an iconic photo shoot - one including best friends Michelle Williams and Busy Phillips embracing each other - and a roundtable to commemorate the occasion. When the show premiered in 1998, it gained a cult-following for the love triangles and teen drama that emerged from the friendships of Dawson Leery (Van Der Beek), Joey Potter (Holmes), Jen Lindley (Williams) and Pacey Witter (Jackson). Less than two months on from Sir Tony Robinson’s announcement of a Maid Marian and her Merry Men stage show, it has been revealed that the cast of the beloved children’s TV classic – including Marian herself – will reunite for a special appearance next month. At Oxfordshire’s Thames Con, members of the original cast will appear together in public for the first time since the programme ended in 1994. Daniel Radcliffe has spoken out over the casting of Johnny Depp in the Fantastic Beasts sequel. The issue of Depp’s role in the Harry Potter spin-off has sparked controversy because of accusations of domestic violence by the star’s ex-wife Amber Heard. Radcliffe, 28, told Entertainment Weekly that the issue was “a very hard thing for me”, and that he wants to be supportive of the film’s producers, who gave him his big break with his Harry Potter role. But he added: “I can see why people are frustrated with the response that they were given.” JK Rowling, who penned the film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, director David Yates, and studio Warner Bros have all issued statements defending the casting.
