At least 13 people have died this month in water-related incidents, as the sweltering UK heat drives more and more to seek refuge in sometimes perilous waters. Those who have come to tragic ends while splashing around in cooling bodies of water in July include victims of a range of ages, with the youngest being a 13-year-old boy and the oldest a pensioner in his 70s. Today, five people were pulled from the sea at Clacton Pier, Essex, after getting into difficulty - with one person still missing. Brazilian police said they arrested a German diplomat Saturday for allegedly killing his husband at their home in an upscale Rio de Janeiro neighborhood, then attempting to cover up the crime. Uwe Herbert Hahn, a German consul, told authorities his husband, Belgian national Walter Henri Maximilien Biot, had taken ill Friday night, collapsing and fatally hitting his head, police said. Bill Bailey has opened up about his grief after the death of his friend and fellow comedian Sean Lock, who he says he ‘misses’ greatly. Former 8 Out Of 10 Cats star Lock died on August 16, 2021 at the age of 58 following a private battle with cancer . Last week, Bailey, 57, began a 100-mile trek which will see him walk from Bude in Cornwall to Combe Martin in Devon – one of his and Lock’s favourite routes – in order to ‘celebrate his life while doing something he loved so much’. The group, including comedian Lee Mack, are raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support which provided care for Lock and his family during his time of poor health. “Death trap” home of notorious hoarder up for auction, includes his grave
The home of a former TV star known as the "King of the Eccentrics" has been put up for auction - including the garden where his body is buried. Jake Mangle-Wurzel was a notorious hoarder who died with a large number of quirky items abandoned at his property. This included wacky inventions, torture devices and headless mannequins. Mangle-Wurzel died last year at the age of 83 after a short battle with skin cancer, and was laid to rest within the grounds of the home in Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, England. He rose to fame in the 1980s and appeared on various television shows throughout the years, including a documentary about himself that aired in 2015. His house in Huddersfield has now gone up for auction for a guide price of about $90,000.
