David Attenborough got excited after watching two dinosaurs getting frisky on new show
Sir David Attenborough got excited watching two dinosaurs having sex on his new TV show. The 96-year-old naturalist is fronting a new big budget docuseries called Prehistoric Planet. It uses state-of-the-art CGI to delve back 66million years and see how the creatures lived, loved and also died. There is one scene where an old male T-Rex is seen getting it on with a young female. And it seems Sir David loved being “a voyeur” watching the heavyweight hanky panky while he did the narration. Mike Gunton - the producer of the show which will air on Apple TV+ - tells Radio Times: “He was recording the commentary, but took his headphones and glasses off and leant forward. “He said ‘You know, Mike, watching these two T-Rex courting was like watching them with a pair of binoculars. “I felt I was there. “It was utterly, utterly extraordinary – every element of that behaviour was perfect’.” Sir David claims Prehistoric Planet - which launches on May 23 - will introduce … [Read more...] about David Attenborough got excited after watching two dinosaurs getting frisky on new show

Mozambique Palma terror attack: ‘I can’t go back’
Published 10 April Share close Share page Copy link About sharing The town of Palma in northern Mozambique was the scene of a horrific attack by Islamist militants a year ago, which left dozens of people dead, forced thousands to flee their homes and put a massive nearby gas project on hold. BBC Africa correspondent Catherine Byaruhanga has been speaking to some of those who survived the assault to see what has changed. Fear still pervades Palma. Before the well co-ordinated assault began, the coastal town was packed and bustling - full of those who had come to find work in the area's burgeoning gas industry. It was also full of thousands of people who had fled violence in other areas of Cabo Delgado, the mainly Muslim province where an Islamist insurgency began in 2017. The militants are known locally as al-Shabab. They have no link to the Somali group of that name, but have since … [Read more...] about Mozambique Palma terror attack: ‘I can’t go back’

Neighbours spoilers: Corey Smythe-Jones caught at last as David Tanaka discovers the truth?
David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) was given reason to suspect that Corey Smythe-Jones (Laurence Boxhall) was up to no good in Neighbours . Corey, as viewers know, is on a mission on behalf of The Order , which has tasked him with recruiting Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan). David, however, has noticed that he’s hanging around Harlow like a bad smell, monopolising all of her time and speaking on her behalf. Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) believed his husband was reading too much into it, but David was adamant that there was something fishy about Corey’s motives. David, of course, is correct, given that Corey has upped the ante in his plan to recruit Harlow, drugging her drinks and manipulating the situation so that she feels isolated from her friends and family . Levi Canning (Richie Morris), meanwhile, was on a mission to find out who vandalised Amy Greenwood’s (Jacinta Stapleton) van, and thus he asked the locals if they saw anything suspicious on the day of the … [Read more...] about Neighbours spoilers: Corey Smythe-Jones caught at last as David Tanaka discovers the truth?
Neighbours spoilers: Freya left to die as Corey attacks her after taking Harlow hostage
Freya Wozniak’s (Phoebe Roberts) life is on the line in Neighbours next week, as Corey Smythe-Jones (Laurence Boxhall) attacks her in a bid to stop her from rescuing Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan). Corey, as viewers know, is a member of The Order, the cult that targeted Prue ( Denise Van Outen ). He first encountered Harlow in London , after she travelled to the UK in a bid to get away from Ned Willis (Ben Hall). Harlow returned to Melbourne soon afterwards, but Corey followed suit, playing the role of the hopeless romantic incredibly well, as he claimed that he hopped on a plane to take a chance on what could be a good thing with Harlow. Harlow, however, wasn’t in the right headspace to enter into a new relationship, given that she was still fighting her feelings for Ned. It became apparent that Corey was on a mission to recruit Harlow for The Order , and thus he set about manipulating her, pretending to a be a friend to her. The newcomer, however, has … [Read more...] about Neighbours spoilers: Freya left to die as Corey attacks her after taking Harlow hostage
Dilyn triggers a napalm attack in the Downing Street garden
Boris Johnson’s boisterous Jack Russell Dilyn caused havoc at a drinks party for Tory MPs in No 10’s garden on Tuesday evening. After posing for selfies, Dilyn started rummaging in a border before startling a duck, which promptly flew out of the bushes at speed. The panicked bird then did its business all over the dark suit of government whip Scott Mann, MP for North Cornwall. Mann was “drenched”, one MP told me. A second MP said it looked like a “napalm attack in the Vietnam war”. Mann – whose suit is at the dry cleaners – claims it was a pigeon, not a duck. “It could have been worse if this happened at home since the seagulls in North Cornwall drop a far larger payload,” he tells me. Dean departs Robert Willis, Dean of Canterbury for the past two decades, is being forced to retire by the Church of England on Monday on the eve of his 75th birthday. He will preach tomorrow in Canterbury Cathedral, before attending a final Evensong on Monday.
