By Ruth McKee/Published 9th April 2019 But the terrifying night sweats turned out to be caused by his electric blanket – not a tropical bug.The 92-year-old presenter woke in the middle of the night after a four-month stint filming in south-east Asia with sweat pouring from every part of his body.He panicked, thinking the beads of perspiration meant he had been struck down with the lethal fever.“I thought, this is what I read about. This is malaria,” Sir David said. “I thought what do I do? BROOKLYN Beckham jetted to Kenya to film scenes for new Netflix series Our Planet. The 20-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham managed to secure a prestigious job filming on Sir David Attenborough's latest show, which launched internationally earlier this week. The Daily Mail have reported that Brooklyn flew to the Masai Mara game reserve to film behind-the-scenes clips for the From Deserts To Grasslands episodes of the eight-part series. Brooklyn is said to have been taught how to film wildlife, and was left "amazed" when five cheetahs ran past. He also played a football match with local children as he embraced his time in the African country. A source told the publication: "He had the time of his life. "He couldn’t believe that he was given such an opportunity." Renowned British natural historian Sir David Attenborough has warned in an explicit way that Earth is facing a mass extinction, much like the one that caused the dinosaurs to die out. Speaking at the launch of his new Netflix series titled “Out Planet”, the 92-year-old researcher and broadcaster was quoted by British media as saying: Sir David, the holder of an unrivalled 32 honorary degrees from Britain’s universities, told the audience at the Natural History Museum, which hosted the event, that mankind has shattered the Earth’s natural order as a result of a massive environmental pollution. “Consider these facts — 96% of the mass of mammals on our planet today are us and the livestock we've domesticated. OUR Planet has showcased hundreds of walruses falling off a 260ft cliff to a slow, agonising death in heartbreaking scenes. Sir David Attenborough nature series' at first depicts a single walrus clinging on for dear life as he teeters on the edge of the cliff. Tragically, the large marine mammal loses its grip and falls down the rock face, bouncing off the jagged rocks before suffering an agonising death on the beach below. And the distressing scene continues as hundreds of walruses, who are half-blind when out of the water, follow and topple to their demise from the precipice. The scene highlights how man-made global warming has destroyed their natural habitat and explains why they've been forced to find refuge on the rocky outpost.
