A five-year-old girl penned a heartbreaking tribute to her “daddy” on a windowsill just days after he ‘took his own life’ at a North London train station. Jade Clark walked into the spare bedroom of her home in Essex and discovered the artwork which featured the words “Dad”, “Mum” and “Sienna” followed by four hearts. An 82-year-old woman has said she is afraid to go out in crowds after having a bag with £200 in it swiped while she was out shopping in Shepherd's Bush. Jacqui Narain also lost rosary beads which had belonged to her mother, as well as bank and Post Office cards and her house keys when the bag was stolen while she shopped in the West 12 Shopping Centre (W12). It happened at around lunchtime on January 8, when Mrs Narain was carrying money given to her by friends and family ahead of her 82nd birthday. The victim also fears being spotted by the same thief and targeted again. Shepherd's Bush beat bobby PC Graham Cochran has now set up a crowdfunding appeal to help replace the money. A judge has confirmed that a 35-year-old man accused of murdering his wife at a family home in Halifax will stand trial in May. Zbigniew Lasek was charged with the murder of 36-year-old mum-of-three Monika Lasek after she was found with stab wounds at a house on Solstice Way, Illingworth, last November. Lasek was brought from custody for a hearing before the Recorder of Bradford Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC this morning (Friday), but the absence of a Polish interpreter meant he was not asked to formally enter his plea to the murder charge. But barrister Simon Kealey QC, for Lasek, told the judge that his client had been assessed as fit to plead and he would be pleading not guilty to the allegation. Mr Kealey said the likely issues at the trial would be self defence or loss of control. The judge confirmed that the trial, which could last five days, would start on 21 May. Members of the public have been warned “not to approach” a 35-year-old man who is wanted in connection with an aggravated burglary in Harrow. Clinton Noel, of no fixed abode, is wanted in connection with an aggravated burglary which took place on June 15 in Ventnor Avenue, Stanmore, at around 9am. Metropolitan Police described Noel as black, about 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with a receding hairline, facial hair and a London accent. The 35-year-old is known to frequent West Drayton, Uxbridge, Hayes, Hillingdon, Ealing and Southall, as well as Lincolnshire and Grimsby. Read More Can you help police with these appeals?
