A police officer used a "disturbing level of meanness and malice" by falsely claiming she had cancer to get out of work. Police Constable Olivia Lucas resigned from Hampshire Constabulary ahead of the disciplinary hearing which would have removed her from the job. Between October 2018 and July 2019 the New Forest officer lied to colleagues and supervisors about having leukaemia and that she was receiving treatment at a specialist hospital. Concerned about her health, colleagues carried out fundraising events to raise money for her. She set out to "destroy the relationships and reputations" of colleagues by sending a retired police officer a fabricated County Court Judgment (CCJ) implicating a colleague, as well as a faked surveillance log and false messages from the Professional Standards Department, a panel found. FORMULA E is planning to dazzle in the dark as the series kicks off season seven with their first night race. Set on the streets of Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, the 2.49km track will be illuminated by energy-saving LED bulbs. Friday evening's race will be the first in a double-header in Diriyah, which promises the most competitive line-up in motor racing.
