IT has been nearly 15 years since Gillian McKeith became known as the Awful Poo Lady for looking at the contents of dieters’ toilets to help them shift weight. And I can reveal that the classic telly format You Are What You Eat is making a long-awaited comeback. But it will not be on Channel 4 or fronted by Gillian. I’m told legendary TV presenter Trisha Goddard , who is making a big UK comeback following a decade in the States, will host the reboot. It will air on Channel 5 later this year. A source said: “It’s a great format and one that was really well received back in the day. “The production company, CPL, were keen to breathe new life into it, and who better to do that than Trisha, who is so well loved and respected by viewers. “They hope she will bring a fresh impetus to a popular show. And Channel 5 were delighted to give her and the series a new home.” Trisha — signed to leading UK agency InterTalent — said: “I am thrilled to have been asked to … [Read more...] about Legendary TV show You Are What You Eat is being rebooted — without Gillian McKeith

‘Exhausted’ NHS heroes vent fury at ‘absolutely disgusting’ £3.50-a-week pay rise
Exhausted and demoralised NHS workers are being forced to take on side jobs as delivery drivers or turn to food banks as they struggle to get by on their current pay. Frontline workers have slammed the Government's proposed pitiful 1% pay rise as "absolutely disgusting" and "insulting", saying they would take home an extra £3.50 or less per week. For some that barely covers the cost of getting to and from work in a single day. NHS workers have told the Mirror they are prepared to go on strike as this offer is the latest slap in the face after a decade of austerity that saw them fall behind and a coronavirus pandemic in which they continue to risk their lives.
