MANCHESTER UNITED have announced the signing Daniel James from Swansea City in principle. The 21-year-old successfully completed his medical at Carrington on Thursday. A statement on the club website wrote: " Manchester United is delighted to announce that it has agreed, in principle, terms with both Swansea City and Daniel James for his transfer to the club. "Daniel has successfully completed a medical at the Aon Training Complex. "Further details will be communicated once the international transfer window opens next week." James has signed on a deal worth an expected £15million - and the winger has reportedly signed a contract worth SIXTEEN times his salary in South Wales. There are reports he has signed a deal worth up to £67,000-a-week, a huge increase from the £4,000-a-week he was earning at the Liberty Stadium. MANCHESTER UNITED made a £10million profit after selling Dan James to rivals Leeds United for an initial £25m on deadline day. The Wales international, 23, is just the fifth player the Red Devils have made money on in the last decade. Man Utd signed James from Swansea City for an initial £15m in July 2019 but have gone on to make their money back and then some after their recent sale. Fans will be surprised to find out the club also made a profit from selling flop Alex Buttner to Dynamo Moscow in June 2014. United signed the left-back from Dutch side Vitesse for £4m two years earlier and sold him for a reported £5.6m. Buttner managed just 13 unconvincing Premier League appearances and is yet to get another chance at a big club. The parents of a boy killed in a dog attack 12 years ago are backing the Mirror’s campaign for change, saying they do not want other families to suffer. John-Paul Massey ’s mum and dad talked about the overwhelming grief they still feel after the four-year-old was mauled to death. The parents have spoken out after hearing that another child – three-year-old Daniel Twigg – was killed by a dog on Sunday. A three-year-old boy died from a dog attack in Rochdale yesterday lunchtime. The toddler was rushed to hospital from a property in Milnrow, Rochdale where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances, Greater Manchester Police said in a statement. Detective Superintendent Jamie Daniels, of GMP's Public Protection and Serious Crime Division, said: "This is a tragic, devastating incident and our thoughts are with the family at this horrendous time. "We are investigating the incident and previous incidents involving dogs at this address, Manchester Evening News reports . Labour's Stephen Doughty admitted last year asking Byron Long for the prescription-only drug on one occasion. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) says it has now partly upheld a complaint given to Mr Long over a caution for supplying the pills. Mr Doughty has not been cautioned. South Wales Police said it could not comment.
