Stars including Charles Venn, Graeme Swann and Ashley Roberts have begun arriving in Blackpool ahead of this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing extravaganza. Every year the popular dance show leaves its home at London's Elstree Studios and heads north to the famed Blackpool Tower Ballroom. It marks the contestants getting closer and closer to the all-important final, with many stars each year admitting that their goal is to simply make it to Blackpool. Former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, actor Charles Venn, Steps star Faye Tozer, cricketer Graeme Swann, YouTube vlogger Joe Sugg, newsreader Kate Silverton, para-triathlete Lauren Steadman and documentary maker Stacey Dooley will all compete. Ashley posted her excitement over arriving in the city with dance partner Pasha Kovalev on Instagram . Dianne Buswell has credited dance for relieving 'the stress and anxiety of real life'. Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has been attacked by social media trolls after receiving her first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. The ballroom professional, 30, had been placed on a vulnerable list for the vaccine because she suffers from Crohn’s disease – a painful inflammatory condition that affects the bowel. But Amy – who has been hospitalised more than 100 times with the illness and previously filmed her treatment in a BBC documentary – has still been criticised for leapfrogging others in her age group. Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Cheryl Burke revealed in a new interview that she is celebrating two years of sobriety. Jesse Metcalfe was eliminated Monday from season 29 of Dancing With The Stars after performing a tango with pro partner Sharna Burgess during '80s Night. The 41-year-old actor and Sharna, 35, earned 19 points out of a possible 30 for their performance to Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears.
