Curtis Davies said he has “felt the love” from the moment he arrived at Derby County last summer. The Rams defender also spoke of his excitement after signing a contract extension with the club, until 2020. Davies joined Derby from Hull City last summer on a two-year deal, with the option of a third, and cost the club £500,000. He became an integral part of Gary Rowett’s side, starting all 46 league games and the two play-off ties as they lost to Fulham.
