A MUM whose son died in a hit and run road collision, only for the driver responsible to serve just FIVE MONTHS imprisonment, is campaigning for stiffer jail terms. Louise Smyth, aged 49, was widowed 20 years ago, when husband Darren was killed in a motorbike accident after misjudging a bend in a road. It left her to bring up their two sons alone. She later had another son, from a different relationship. Her middle son Matt died aged 25 in a hit and run crash when his motorbike was hit by a delivery driver, who then fled the scene. She collected over 100,000 signatures on a petition calling for the law to be changed, which will be debated in Parliament later this year. For the past 53 years Eleni Tzima and her husband Nasos Tzimas have herded their livestock some 150 kilometers (241 miles) between summer pastures in northwest Greece's isolated highlands down to their winter home in the lowlands. The Tzimas family is part of a millennia-old tradition of transhumance , or the seasonal movement of animals between fixed grazing grounds. But it's a dying one: they are some of the last still practicing this way of farming in the country. During the summer months the couple, both in their 80s, live in a makeshift hut, using solar energy to power a radio, cellphones and lights. They're among the oldest pastoral shepherds to take part in an annual trek, known as "diava", in the mountainous Pindus National Park near Greece's border with Albania. Boris Johnson is trying to set up a charity to help fund a luxurious revamp of his grace-and-favour flat, it was claimed today. The Prime Minister faces questions over works overseen by his fiancee Carrie Symonds in the plush, four-bed living space above No11. The 32-year-old has removed Theresa May ’s “John Lewis furniture nightmare” and paintings by British artist John Nash hang alongside works by the PM himself, according to an article in Tatler. The Cabinet Office will be forced to publish any taxpayer spending on the project in its annual accounts this summer. But today No10 refused to deny reports that the Prime Minister, 56, wants to fund the some of refurb through donations - after being told he could only claim around £30,000 from the state. A super slimmer has shed nine stone after being left “mortified” by holiday pictures that ruined her memories of a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New York. Emily Duggan, 25, had hoped to frame the snaps from world-famous landmarks such as the Rockefeller Centre, Times Square and Grand Central Terminal. “I took seven of the same t-shirt to New York because it was so baggy, it’s all I would wear,” she said. But the school admin worker said she was so shocked when the camera revealed just how overweight she had become, she couldn’t even look at them. She took the decision to ditch her daily routine of two lunches. Despite taking a packed lunch, Emily would sneak out for a midday McDonalds or a KFC too.
