Dynamo was back performing card tricks at the weekend after admitting he was struggling to work because of Crohns disease. The illusionist was with Chris Eubank Jr backstage following the David Haye v Tony Bellew Fight at The O2 Arena in London on Saturday. Speaking back in March Dynamo said: “My toes, my knees, my neck, my ankles, my hands, which really sucked as a magician because I cant use my cards which had happened on the odd occasion. “But I’m working with doctors and physio and doing everything in my power to get to 100%. “I’m working on lots of new magic so hopefully you’ll get to see that again soon in the future.” MirrorOnline reported last month how the star looked bloated and tired - and said he feared that the devastating disease could spell an end to his magic career. The magician from Bradford told BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker and Louise Minchin that a bout of food poisoning which was made much worse by his Crohn's disease had … [Read more...] about Dynamo wows performing surprise card tricks after battling Crohn’s disease

COLITIS is a long-term condition which affects about one in every 420 people in the UK. It can develop at any age, but is usually diagnosed in people from 15 to 25 years old. What is colitis and what are the symptoms? Ulcerative colitis, or colitis, is a condition where the colon and rectum become inflamed. The colon is the large intestine, or bowel, and the rectum is the end of the bowel where stools are stored. Ulcers can develop on the colon's lining and bleed and produce pus. It is similar to another condition which causes inflammation of the gut - Crohn's disease. Symptoms can often be very mild for weeks or months but flare ups with extreme symptoms can cause a lot of pain and trouble for sufferers. Flare ups can include painful and swollen joints, mouth ulcers, areas of painful, red and swollen skin and irritated and red eyes. In addition to this people will often need to empty their bowels six or more times a day and have shortness of breath, a fast or irregular heartbeat, high … [Read more...] about What is colitis and ulcerative colitis, what are the signs and symptoms and how does it differ from Crohn’s disease?
A MUM-OF-THREE has claimed she was dumped by her fiance after her battle with Chron's disease made her face swell like Dynamo's. Last week, Dynamo opened up about how his battle with the disease had caused his face to swell and significant weight gain due to his medication regime. His ordeal brought back painful memories for Vicki Grant, 37, whose face puffed up to almost double its normal size. She claims the condition resulted in her fiancé walking out on her and left her kids scared to look at her face. She told the Sunday Mirror: "Two months earlier he had proposed to me on a beach in Tenerife. But he could not deal with me having this. "He went out one night and never came back. He kissed me goodbye then broke up by text. "I felt scared and alone. I got to a point where I didn’t want to be alive, but I had three children. They were my strength." Vicki, from East London, suffered agonising stomach pains and mouth ulcers before she was given the diagnosis in 2013. She was … [Read more...] about Mum-of-three claims fiancé dumped her after Crohn’s disease made her face swell like Dynamo’s
Seeing Dynamo’s bloated face on his Twitter feed last week as he revealed his battle with Crohn’s disease brought back painful memories for Vicki Grant. The magician told how the steroids he takes to battle the inflammatory bowel condition made his body and face balloon. As a sufferer herself, Vicki knows only too well what it’s like to have the Crohn’s “moonface”. So in an act of support, the mum of four tweeted the star a picture of hers puffed up to almost double its usual size. “One of my sons told me ‘Mum, you scare me looking like that’,” says Vicki. “It broke my heart. I hated the way Crohn’s made me look. But when I saw Dynamo’s post it brought back memories. "It’s so great he’s not afraid to show everyone what the disease does.” Throughout her teenage years, Vicki, 37, suffered stomach pains and mouth ulcers – and it wasn’t until 2013 she was finally given a … [Read more...] about Mum dumped by fiancé after getting Dynamo ‘moonface’ due to Crohn’s disease
Sam Faiers has applauded magician star Dynamo for opening up about his battle with Crohn’s disease as she struggles with digestion issues herself. Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine on Wednesday, 27-year-old Sam was keen to highlight her own battle with inflammatory bowel diseases. Mum-of-two Sam was appearing on the morning talk show just hours after 35-year-old magician Dynamo (real name Steve Frayne) opened up about living with Crohn's disease. The condition causes an inflammation of the digestive system or gut and can cause a range of symptoms - from abdominal pain and diarrhoea to loss of weight and mouth ulcers. And former TOWIE star Sam thinks talking about the condition can be one of the best ways to tackle it. “The best thing is, when you’ve got a platform like Dynamo and myself… when it’s anything to do with your bowels, or Crohn’s or IBS, people don’t want to talk about it and they think it’s embarrassing,” Sam said. … [Read more...] about Sam Faiers applauds Dynamo for speaking up about Crohn’s disease
