TWITTER has launched paid subscriptions that let you charge followers to see your "exclusive" posts. The new feature means you can earn money simply by posting on Twitter. There are also new newsletter features and a live audio chat system. But the main addition is paid-for subscriptions that allow for "premium" posts on Twitter. Subscriptions are wildly popular online for social media sites. From gaming-centric Twitch, the more general-purpose Patreon and even adult-oriented OnlyFans, there's no shortage of subscription websites. It gives Twitter a chance to make more money, but users will be cashing in too. Twitter users will be able to offer "Super Follow" functions. This means other users will pay to see additional exclusive material that regular followers can't see. It includes newsletters, videos, deals and more. "Exploring audience funding opportunities like Super Follows will allow creators to be directly supported by their audience," said … [Read more...] about Twitter now lets you CHARGE people to see ‘exclusive posts’ with new Super Follow feature

Demi Lovato asks how teens can accept themselves in world of filters and Photoshopping
Demi Lovato has apologised for using photographic filters in the past - saying she didn't realise how "dangerous" they are. Sharing a video to her Instagram feed, the chart-topper put a number of filters up to tweak her appearance, asking: "But how can I always look like this?" Demi, 28, captioned the video with a number of speech bubbles, one of which read: "Wait do I need a smaller nose?" Another insisted: "My skin is not this smooth." And in a third, Demi declared: "These aren't my real eyes." "Thank God I'm realising this now," she wrote, "and I'm sorry for using them w/o realising how dangerous they were before." Beneath she asked: "Thank God these weren't around when I was 13 but also... "How are teens supposed to learn to accept themselves w/this s**t?" She ended the video with a smile to the camera. Demi's been flooded with supportive messages since sharing the powerful message. "You are so beautiful always," one wrote. Another gushed: "Actually … [Read more...] about Demi Lovato asks how teens can accept themselves in world of filters and Photoshopping

There's little debate, Wednesday's budget will be one of the most important in recent times. It'll be another sort of roadmap, albeit longer and possibly more painful. It will chart at least the start of how we move from the deep slump of this recession to recovery. Live COVID updates from the UK and around the world COVID jobs crisis: Retail is worst hit sector The chancellor, Rishi Sunak , has spent the last week preparing people. Harry Potter fans just realised the Chamber of Secrets film has a post-credits scene
When it comes to movies, we all know that if it's made by Marvel, you must stay in your seat until the credits have finished rolling, as there's bound to be a surprise awaiting you at the end. And while this has made us often watch many credits sequences unnecessarily, we don't do it for every film we see. However, a revelation on TikTok has made us think that we should do so from now on. That's because a Harry Potter fan has discovered that the second film in the series, the Chamber of Secrets, has its very own end credits scene. Yes, really. A TikTok user named @perfect.dodge created a video explaining the scene, which has since gone viral, garnering thousands of views. In the clip, he says: "Have you guys noticed this about Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets? "So I'm 27-years-old. I've been watching this movie for almost 20 years, was no one gonna tell me that this is the only Harry Potter movie with a post-credit scene? So you don’t want to take the coronavirus vaccine? Here’s what you need to know
Imagine, for a moment, that your government is led by a serial liar, an amoral poltroon, and that he got the job after spending years calling you names. If you're white, the first two apply anyway but you may have to think hard about what it's like to be poor, or from Liverpool, to understand the third one. If you're black, you don't need to imagine at all. The poorest and darkest-skinned amongst us die in greater numbers from coronavirus for the exact same reason that they are less likely to be vaccinated: the people issuing the instructions are neither of them, or for them. The Vaccines Minister, Nadhim Zahawi, was born in Baghdad, but unlike most other Iraqi migrants he's a millionaire who has a £10million property empire, earned more than £400,000 from three jobs in 2017, and once spunked £6,000 of YOUR money on heating his stables. He has even less to say to the average brown-skinned Brit, than they do with him. It's because this government has so few people who … [Read more...] about So you don’t want to take the coronavirus vaccine? Here’s what you need to know
