Amazon has changed the new logo of its smartphone app after users said the initial version reminded them of a smirking Adolf Hitler. The sales giant recently ditched its old logo, featuring the familiar symbol of a shopping cart, in favour of a brown Amazon box with a piece of tape with a jagged edge at the top. But combined with the smile-shaped arrow which also forms part of Amazon's branding, the tape looked like it could be part of a face - with what some shoppers thought was an uncomfortable resemblance to the dictator's distinctive moustache. Co-op Group faces crunch board meeting over £80m state funding repayment
The Co-op Group, Britain's biggest mutual, is to hold a crunch board meeting next week amid pressure to follow rival supermarkets' example and repay £80m of state funding handed to it during the pandemic. Sky News has learnt that directors of the groceries-to-funeralcare provider - headed by chairman Allan Leighton - will meet next Tuesday to debate whether to repay the funding it received in the form of business rates relief and furlough payments. Although the board is not yet technically split on the question of handing the money back because a vote has yet to take place, sources said "deep divisions" were expected to be exposed next week. The decision is expected to be made public in the group's annual results announcement early next month. Kirill Tereshin, 24, faced his second round of surgery to clear his clogged-up triceps, removing the dead muscle and draining his arms of excess fluid caused by the substance. Doctors warned Tereshin he risked losing the use of his arms after he injected himself with Synthol oil to create cartoonish, bulging muscles, and shared the footage with his 350,000 Instagram followers. The former soldier admitted his health woes were "due to my own stupidity" after he started bulking up his arms at age 20. Tereshin, from the city of Pyatigorsk in the Russian region of Stavropol Krai, had the corrective surgery delayed by nearly a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. "I'm only 24, and my immune system is so far coping with this inflammation, but I really do not know what will happen next," he said. "That is why I started the … [Read more...] about Russian ‘Popeye’ who injected triceps with OIL has life-saving surgery to remove ‘rotting’ fake muscles
