Customers of failed funeral firm Safe Hands warned they will lose 90% of their cash
Customers who lost money to failed funeral firm Safe Hands have been told they will lose up to 90% of their cash. Safe Hands sold pre-pay funeral plans, but collapsed into administration in March - leaving 45,000 customers in the lurch. These plans let people pay off a funeral or cremation in instalments. The idea behind the deals is to give peace of mind that the high costs of a funeral have been dealt with before someone passes away. Have you been affected by the collapse of Safe Hands? Cornwall Council moves families out of county in housing crisis

Cornwall Council says four families are having to be housed outside the county. The number of people in emergency accommodation has risen to 1,500, up from about 1,000 a year ago. The council said "in a very small number of instances" accommodation outside of Cornwall was offered as a "last resort". Boris Johnson on Thursday hailed the Queen as “Elizabeth the Great” as he praised her “profound knowledge” of politics and world affairs and said no monarch had served their country so long or so well. The Prime Minister expressed hope that the nation would next week come together in celebration of her Platinum Jubilee to reciprocate the “love, devotion and leadership” she had shown the country over the past 70 years.
