Former head of KiwiBuild Stephen Barclay has hit back at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, denying he quit due to complaints over alleged bad behaviour. Mr Barclay says he's "extremely disappointed" in the Ministry's statement, which alleges he stood down from his role when an investigation into a slew of complaints from employees, contractors and stakeholders was launched. In his own statement issued on Monday, he also announced he would be pursuing a case of constructive dismissal against his former employer. Pre-school manager awarded €10,000 for constructive dismissal following baby-feeding incident

by Gordon DeeganA warehouse manager in a company, where another employee stole chemicals from the warehouse and put them up for sale on eBay, has lost his case for constructive dismissal.In the case, the employee who stole the chemicals stated that he acted alone and as part of the Garda investigation, Gardai interviewed a number of staff members but stated that no one else had a case to answer.Six months later however, the company’s warehouse manager was invited by his employer to attend a series of six ‘investigative’ meetings regarding issues around the earlier stock losses.The warehouse manager stated that the tone of these meetings was "accusatory" and "aggressive" by management.The meetings were followed in January 2017 by a series of disciplinary meetings culminating in the suspension on full pay of the warehouse manager in February 2017. School teacher who claimed she was bullied wins unfair dismissal case
A former teacher who resigned from her post after alleging staff were being bullied has won a claim of unfair dismissal. Nina Sydenham had worked at Alderman Davies Church in Wales Primary School in Neath for almost 20 years before being suspended, after appearing as a witness at a grievance hearing for a colleague. She subsequently handed in her notice. An employment tribunal held at Swansea Magistrates’ Court earlier this year heard Mrs Sydenham had raised ‘serious concerns’ about the school’s management under head teacher Collette Matchett, and claimed staff had become afraid of her ‘aggressive approach’. Mrs Sydenham, from Baglan , alleged constructive dismissal after supporting a colleague, Chris Williams, at his grievance hearing. “The very sight of the NHS logo makes me feel sick”. These are the words of Lancaster surgeon Peter Duffy, who says a 10-year campaign against him left him ill and feeling unable to work in the NHS again.The consultant urologist said he has been torn away from his family and his professional career is in tatters after speaking out about allegations of medical negligence.Mr Duffy said he felt forced to quit his NHS job after whistleblowing on the doctors.
