HUNDREDS of horses are lined up to set out on the biggest drive in England when one panics and bolts. It's the thing organiser Danny Cooper fears the most — it only takes one animal to spook the others and trigger a dangerous stampede. Danny's 250-strong horse drive was filmed as part of the Channel 5 series Here Come The Gypsies , which delves into the ancient traditions and culture of Britain's Gypsies and Travellers. The 74-year-old Gypsy horseman from Hampshire has run the traditional family event for over 20 years — but as its popularity has grown, he fears he might soon have to stop. "If anybody gets hurt, I will call it a day," Danny says in the programme. His daughter, Tracy, fears the annual event has gotten out of hand too. "Which with this amount of horses, if everyone gets home without a blip, it’s a miracle.” 'Anything can happen' When Danny started his horse drive, only a couple of … [Read more...] about Here Come the Gypsies: Inside England’s biggest ‘horse drive’ where stampedes risk deadly disaster

Alan Carr says he refuses to take part in Strictly Come Dancing despite being asked every year over fears he'd be paired up with a sexy man. The Chatty Man star joked that he wouldn't be able to hide his excitement during sensual dances with hunky professional stars like Aljaz Skorjanec and Gorka Marquez. The 44-year-old comedian and presenter explained on his podcast, Life’s A Beach, that he did not want to compete on the BBC dancing show, as getting that close to a sexy man could mean his performances weren't suitable for a pre-watershed audience. Alan, who married long-term partner Paul Drayton in 2018, said: "I get asked to do Strictly every year. "I get asked about what I think about same-sex dancing and I say no. "Their eyes light up and go 'oh my god' and I say no because I'd get a lob on if I dance with Aljaz or Gorka. I would be so hard." The show made history last year when it introduced Olympic gold medalist Nicola Adams as the first ever celeb contestant … [Read more...] about Alan Carr turns down Strictly same-sex partnership over sensual dancing fears
