Stagecoach Performing Arts Norwich will be performing an Annie Medley at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End on June 25. The school will also participate in an attempt to set a new Guinness Wold Record for the largest simultaneous performance of one show on July 1. The attempt aims to have 200 of Stagecoach’s schools taking part and commemorating three decades of its schools sparking children’s creativity through singing, dancing and acting classes. Little Voices, which operates across Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding areas, has achieved ‘5 Star Gold Accreditation’ success with The Children’s Activities Association (CAA). The school focuses on traditional teaching methods in singing and acting in small group lessons. The CAA is an industry-led, not-for-profit community interest company founded and governed by experts to help parents, schools, nurseries and all children’s activities providers by raising the standard of children’s activities as well as give more families access to these activities. Young starlets made for a buzzing launch night when Little Voices performing arts school came to Teddington. The success of the launch on January 18 means lessons are now up-and-running every Thursday afternoon in Teddington Salvation Army Hall. Principal Ashlea Pearson said: “We have had much interest for quite some time now and due to the high demand for our lessons after our success in neighbouring East Sheen we have decided to expand and open up in Teddington!" There are only a handful of places available and Little Voices are offering local children aged 4 - 12 years the opportunity to attend a free trial lesson throughout February and March. A new performing arts school is set to launch in Buckingham next month. Little Voices gives children the chance to sing and act and it will be touching down in Buckingham after the February half-term. Run by drama teacher Jo-Anne Wright the classes will start at the George Grenville Academy on Chandos Road on Monday February 19. Jo said the classes were different to other similar activities already on offer in Buckingham. She said: “Little Voices run drama and singing lessons on alternating weeks - week one the groups do drama and week two they have a singing lesson. “The lessons run after school for half an hour or 45 minutes depending on the age of child, so they are lesson length. “Every child is entered for an accreditation in a performance skill or area e.g. acting or musical theatre and we work with groups no greater than eight so children have a much more personalised lesson and greater individual attention compared to working with bigger groups.” … [Read more...] about Make your voice heard at Buckingham performing arts school
