· March 6, 2021 ·

HOME-schooling has officially ended, with all children and students returning to face-to-face education in schools and colleges from Monday, March 8. But, for those pupils returning to their classrooms for the first time in months, what is the guidance for uniforms and PE gear? Do kids have to wear school uniform when schools reopen? Schools will inform parents about specific arrangements for their child returning to the classroom from March 8, 2021. Pupils line up for Covid tests ahead of England’s schools reopening next week

· March 6, 2021 ·

PUPILS lined up for Covid tests yesterday ahead of England’s schools reopening on Monday. The first three at school will be seen as training for children. After that, pupils and staff will be given rapid lateral flow tests to take twice a week at home. They will be urged to take them before coming in to school, ideally in the morning. The tests — involving a nasal and throat swab — are taken voluntarily. Students will still be allowed into school even if they do not agree to do the swab tests. If a staff member or pupil tests positive, they must self-isolate. If they test positive at home, they must have a second swab at a testing centre to confirm the result. Louise Redknapp admits she feels judged by ‘clipboard mums’ on school run because she left Jamie

· March 5, 2021 ·

LOUISE Redknapp has admitted she feels judged by “clipboard mums” on the school run because she left Jamie. The singer says she felt “really uncomfortable” that fellow parents were looking down on her and found the daily experience “stressful”. Louise , 46, said: "There have been times when I have felt really uncomfortable at the school gates, as though some of the other mums are looking down on me or judging me. "I have always tried to be at pick-up unless I am working, but I have never lingered for the car-park chats and I am not interested in gossiping about which child has done what, or who has won something or is going off to a certain school. "That is just not me. For some time after I split with Jamie, I found the school run particularly stressful. "I felt like all the ‘clipboard mums’ were looking at me and judging me for my choices. "For some time, my own mum picked up the boys for me because I just couldn’t face it." The former Eternal star married … [Read more...] about Louise Redknapp admits she feels judged by ‘clipboard mums’ on school run because she left Jamie

None of them was willing to utter more than a few words. Every day, Eritrean soldiers come to take medical equipment. Patients and doctors are terrified. "They come here every day, even two times per day," explained a general practitioner, who wished to remain anonymous. "Yesterday, they stole a stretcher. When they come, not only the patients, but also the staff run away. The treatments get interrupted." Civilians raped and injured Since fighting erupted in the Tigray region in early November, the public hospital in Adrigrat has received over 174 rape survivors. But there are fears many more could be trapped in villages. "These [cases] are only those who have access to this hospital, but we don't know what happens in the 18 districts in the Eastern [Tigray] zone - what happens to the mothers, what … [Read more...] about Anger and collective trauma scar Ethiopia’s Tigray region
