Man City currently have the upper hand despite trailing Liverpool by two points, with Pep Guardiola's men having one match in hand. Liverpool have received a supportive message in their bid to capture the Premier League title - from former striker Fernando Torres . The Spanish hitman spent just under four years with the Reds, becoming a firm favourite with the Anfield faithful. However a switch to rivals Chelsea did not go down particularly well with the red half of Merseyside. But the club showed there were no hard feelings as they wished their former striker a happy 35th birthday on Twitter , prompting Torres to come back with a jubilant reply.
