THOSE tuning in to Joe Lycett's Big Pride Party were left open-mouthed after a drag queen sniffed what appeared to be drugs live on air. Channel 4 marked 50 years of pride in the UK with a big queer celebration held in his Birmingham hometown - and it seems one person was taking the celebrations a little too seriously. During the two-hour inclusive spectacular, which also featured a lesbian proposal, eagle-eyed viewers spotted entertainer Fatt Butcher up to no good. Clutching a little bottle of poppers, viewers were left stunned to see them take an inhale of the legal high . Naturally, the internet went mad for the moment, with the artistic director later confirming the events on social media . Taking to Instagram, Fatt Butcher - whose real name is Adam Carver - penned: "Mom, I just did poppers live on Channel 4." British Army hit by cyberattack as Twitter and YouTube accounts hacked
The British Army has confirmed a "breach" of its Twitter and YouTube accounts. The Ministry of Defence said an investigation is under way after both official sites appeared to have been hacked. The Army's YouTube channel features videos on cyptocurrency and images of billionaire businessman Elon Musk, while its official Twitter account retweeted a number of posts appearing to relate to crypto assets known as NFTs. The profile picture on its twitter page was changed numerous times during the hack, and at one point showed a monkey wearing face paint. The bio was replaced with the message: “We all have a dark side. What will yours look like?” Defence sources would not comment on whether Russians were behind the hack. Hacking of soldiers’ details has been a feature of the war in Ukraine, with hacker group Anonymous claiming to have released the personal details of 120,000 Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine in early April. U.S. embassy in Russia hides address as trolling war with Moscow escalates
The U.S. embassy in Moscow is using coordinates instead of an address on its website after Russian authorities renamed the square outside the building after one of the two separatist regions of Ukraine that Russia recognizes as sovereign. The embassy's website now lists its location as 55,75566° N, 37,58028° E. However, the "Embassy and Consulates" section of the website still lists the embassy's previous address: Bolshoy Deviatinsky Pereulok No. 8. The embassy has been contacted for comment. Moscow's residents voted in June to rename the square outside the city's U.S. embassy "Donetsk People's Republic Square," according to The Moscow Times. According to the newspaper, the city is also set to rename a square closet to the German embassy "Luhansk People's Republic Square." That came after protesters put up a sign outside the Russian embassy in Washington, D.C., unofficially renaming the street after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky . "The President Zelensky Way … [Read more...] about U.S. embassy in Russia hides address as trolling war with Moscow escalates

America Is in Denial
Even as we watch the reservoirs and lakes of the West go dry, we keep watering our lawns, soaking our golf courses, and growing water-thirsty crops. As inflation mounts and the national debt balloons, progressive politicians vote for ever more spending. As the ice caps melt and record temperatures make the evening news, we figure that buying a Prius and recycling the boxes from our daily Amazon deliveries will suffice. When TV news outlets broadcast video after video of people illegally crossing the nation’s southern border, many of us change the channel. And when a renowned conservative former federal appellate judge testifies that we are already in a war for our democracy and that January 6, 2021, was a genuine constitutional crisis, MAGA loyalists snicker that he speaks slowly and celebrate that most people weren’t watching. What accounts for the blithe dismissal of potentially cataclysmic threats? The left thinks the right is at fault for ignoring climate change and the … [Read more...] about America Is in Denial

On Tuesday, clashes between Muslim students against the ban and those supporting it broke out. Stone-throwing, arson and baton charges by police took place in several towns in Karnataka state, NDTV news channel reported. Jersey breast screening moves to three-year cycle
Published 20 April Share close Share page Copy link About sharing Breast screening is now being offered in Jersey every three years - rather than two - due to a backlog caused by the Covid pandemic. Sarah Evans, head of screening, said the pandemic had lengthened the wait by up to 12 months. Previously, all women aged 50 to 69 were offered screening once every two years. The new cycle is in line with NHS guidelines and Jersey health bosses plan to revert to the two-year cycle. Mrs Evans said delays were caused by a three-month closure of the screening clinics during the pandemic and an extended wait time due to social distancing restrictions. She said extra clinic capacity had been arranged to help reduce the backlog of appointments. Mrs Evans also reminded islanders who notice any changes in their breasts to seek GP assistance. She said: "We understand that people … [Read more...] about Jersey breast screening moves to three-year cycle
