A GANG was caught with an arsenal of weapons including handguns and thousands of bullets during a plot to flood Lawless London with firearms. Denis Kolencukov, Steven Spires and Michael Nicholls smuggled 89 handguns via the Channel Tunnel. Polish national Kolencukov, 24, organised for a courier to deliver the guns to Spires, 36, and Nicholls, 26, once he arrived in the UK. But a crack team of organised crime cops discovered their scheme and worked with Border Force officers in France to bring them to justice. Kolencukov admitted a string of firearms offences including conspiracy to import firearms and conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life. Spires was found guilty of possession of firearms and Nicholls was convicted of possession of firearms and conspiracy to import firearms. Three men have admitted their involvement in a number of ATM attacks across the East Midlands, including Leicestershire. Heathan Hall and Swaley Price pleaded guilty at Leicester Crown Court at previous hearings, with Wayne Smith pleading guilty today at the same court. All the offences took place between May 18 and October 7, 2017. Leicestershire Police could not give any specific details on the location of the offences. A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "All three were involved in a number of attacks where a high powered motor vehicles – including flatbed style vehicles or telehandler plant equipment – were stolen prior to the incidents and used to ram into the ATM machines to access the cash inside. "Extensive investigations were carried out the find those responsible for the attacks, gathering evidence throughout the long investigation. Ford executives said they expect the F-150 diesel model with a 10-speed transmission to achieve 30 miles per gallon highway fuel efficiency, a level comparable to some midsize cars. “We’re confident we’ll get there,” David Filipe, Ford vice president of powertrain engineering, said at a briefing for media ahead of the official launch announcement. The diesel F-150 will cost between $2,400 and $4,000 more than a comparable gasoline truck, depending on the specific model, Ford executives said. The diesel engine will be manufactured at a Ford plant in Britain.
