A Neath woman who won more than £4 million on the National Lottery’s EuroMillions draw last year is still driving around in a 15-year-old Honda Civic. Julie Amphlett is also still living in the same house in Neath as she hasn't been able to find a property she likes yet. Despite now being a multimillionaire, Mrs Amphlett said her family's lives hadn't changed dramatically. "We try to keep it normal and it hasn't changed our relationship with people," she said. "We are the same people. "We still shop in the same places - Tesco, Aldi, B&M... the only difference is you now have the option to go to other places. "The biggest change is not working. I woke up one morning and thought, 'Oh God, I am not in work this morning', and that took a bit of time to get used to. Four sisters and their husbands were among the 20 people killed in a horrific limousine crash in upstate New York on Saturday. The group were on their way to a surprise 30th birthday party when the 2001 Ford Excursion limousine lost control and careened through an intersection before hitting a parked car in a crash that 'sounded like an explosion.' The crash killed all 18 people in the white limousine, including the driver, and two pedestrians. All 20 victims were adults. The sisters, who have been identified as Abigail Jackson, Mary Dyson, Allison King and Amy Steenburg, were on the way to celebrate their youngest's 30th birthday when the crash occurred. Twenty dead in New York horror crash including newlywed couple
Police have confirmed that 20 people died in a horror limousine crash in Schoharie County, New York. The wedding vehicle is said to have sped down a hill a crashed into bystanders, according to reports in local media and two vehicles are said to be involved. There were 17 passengers in the limo and witnesses say it failed to stop at an intersection. Family have identified Erin and Shane McGowan, who only just walked down the aisle in June, as two of the victims. They were guests at the wedding on Saturday. The Times Union reports that at least two vehicles - including an SUV-style stretch limousine reported to be en route to a wedding - were involved in the crash on Saturday afternoon. AN AUTHENTICALLY restored Mercedes was the star car of this year's Silverstone Classic Sale, with a final bidding price of £860,625. The 1958 300SL Roadster is one of 1,858 ever built after legendary car importer Max Hoffman, from New York, convinced the German company to build a road-going version of its race car. On sale for the first time in 20 years, the gull-winged Roadster went through a significant restoration by Mercedes factory-trained 300SL specialists. The second-most expensive lot on the list was a 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS. Sold for £343,125, the Spyder is only one 235 ever made in right-hand drive. It also has a mere 41,000 miles on the clock. However, minor damage was caused to the Dino when a Smart car hit it while it was parked in 2009. Even more rare was a 1987 Aston Martin Vantage Volante X-Pack that was sold for £298,125.
