Facebook and Instagram remove posts offering abortion pills to women who need them
Facebook and Instagram have begun removing posts that offer abortion pills to women who may not be able to access. The news follows the Supreme Court ’s decision that stripped away constitutional protections for the procedure. Roe v Wade guaranteed a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion , but Justice Samuel Alito and the other members of the court gave states power to legislate abortions at a state level. Previously, women had total autonomy to terminate a pregnancy during the first trimester, and allowed some state influence over abortions in the second and third trimesters. “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Justice Alito wrote in a draft of an opinion dated 10 February. “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives”. Biden faces 3 awkward anniversaries of things he shouldn’t have said
Last July, President Joe Biden made a series of public remarks that have come back to haunt him as things have turned out to be the opposite of what he predicted. Those statements marked the beginning of a tumbling approval rating, which, a year later, has yet to bounce back. Biden's time in the White House started off promising after the Democrat received more than 81 million votes—the most ever cast for a presidential candidate—and he entered office with a relatively high approval rating. Biden's approval rating has since sunk below that of former President Donald Trump 's at the same point in his term, and members of his own party are losing confidence in his ability to lead on key issues. Biden's rating remained steady at about the 52 percent mark until mid-June 2021. What followed were three crises facing America and what seemed to be less-than-accurate predictions from the Biden administration on the Omicron COVID surge, the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and soaring … [Read more...] about Biden faces 3 awkward anniversaries of things he shouldn’t have said

The work was undertaken in 1994 which was a turbulent period in Diana's life coming just two years after her separation from Charles and three years before her tragic death in a Paris car crash . The display of the portrait by British-based art dealers Philip Mould & Co. at the Masterpiece Art Fair in London comes as the first joint painted portrait of Diana's son, Prince William , and his wife, Kate Middleton , was unveiled in Cambridge last month. Watch moment world’s second deadliest snake lunges at man in a crawl space
A snake catcher has recounted the moment he captured one of the world's deadliest serpents—while stuck in a crawl space. Professional Ryan Fuller managed to catch the chilling lunges of the Eastern Brown snake on camera, as he sought to remove it from beneath a house in Queensland, Australia. He ended up on his hands and knees in the cramped space, as the "dramatic" snake defended itself, repeatedly striking. The venom of the Eastern Brown is deadly, with Australian Geographic naming it as the country's most dangerous snake. They're responsible for more deaths Down Under than any other snakes, with the site claiming they're famous for being "[f]ast-moving, aggressive and known for their bad temper." Their venom is ranked as the second most toxic among snakes in the world, as the site noted: "Its venom causes progressive paralysis and stops the blood from clotting, which may take many doses of antivenom to reverse. Victims may collapse within a few minutes." Incredibly, … [Read more...] about Watch moment world’s second deadliest snake lunges at man in a crawl space
