KEELEY Hawes has confirmed Finding Alice is set to return for a second series - but fans face a VERY long wait. The black comedy sees Keeley , 45, star as Alice, a widow who is struggling to cope with the death of her husband after moving into their dream home. The announcement comes after the first series finished airing on ITV . Keeley, who is also executive producer on the show, said in a statement: "I'm so pleased to be reuniting with the brilliant team behind Finding Alice for a second series. "We've been honoured to hear from so many viewers who have related to Alice's experience of grief, and look forward to sharing the next stage of her journey." Excited fans will have to wait until at least the end of next year for new episodes though, as ITV also announced filming will start in February 2022. The Isle Of Wight Festival has announced it will go ahead this year, but is moving from June to September following the government's roadmap out of lockdown announcement. It was originally due to run from 17 to 20 June, just ahead of the date of 21 June given by Boris Johnson as the earliest possible to lift all COVID-19 restrictions in England. There are fears many festivals planned even for after that date will still be forced to cancel due to the uncertainty over dates and large-scale events, and on Monday, organisers for rock festival Download announced they were calling it off for a second year. Coronavirus: Austria and Denmark break ranks with EU on vaccines
Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz on Tuesday said his country and Denmark plan to stop relying solely on the European Union for coronavirus jabs. The announcement appeared to be a rebuke to the EU's joint vaccine procurement program . Kurz said both countries plan to work with Israel to produce second-generation vaccines. While Israel has vaccinated a large part of its population, the EU has faced criticism for its slow vaccine rollout . Austria looks ahead to new variants Kurz said it was right in principle to take a European-wide approach to inoculation. However, he maintained that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has been "too slow" to approve vaccines, and drew attention to production problems and delivery failures .
