A number of bus services have been altered or cancelled this morning due to the diverse weather conditions. Drivers are being warned to take care on the roads and there were multiple crashes all over Plymouth last night, after snow began to settle at around 5pm. If you're reliant on public transport to get to work or have to drive, we will be posting live updates of all the latest news advice in the blog below. No Plymouth Citybus services are operating in Cornwall this morning, apart from the 70, 70A, 70B, 12, 11 and all Rame services. The majority of Plymouth services are running but there are alterations. The number 33 is not serving Station Road and Warleigh Avenue in Keyham. The 40, 41 and 42A are not servicing Dunnet Road, operating via Southway Drive and Clittaford Road. The 42C is serving as far as Woolwell roundabout and the 27A and B are not serving Deer Park. Bus crash this morning
Traffic is building in Guildford after a crash between a bus and a van on the town's one-way system. The crash took place on the roundabout at the junctions of Woodbridge Road, Onslow Street and the A246 York Road. Pictures show the bus stationary on the roundabout, with workers in high visibility jackets directing traffic around it. We will keep you up to date with this breaking incident. It was an apparently ordinary morning in early November, but a combination of factors brought gridlock conditions for thousands of motorists on the roads in and around Bristol this morning (November 7). From the M5 to the back streets of Fishponds, from the Long Ashton bypass to the hills of Brislington, motorists were going nowhere fast in the rain, as the city ground to a halt even more than usual. It's been a while since the metaphorical Gridlock Klaxon in our Bristol Live office was sounded - and in the past it's almost always been triggered in the evening rush hour. Hardened motorists of Bristol will remember the dark days of two years ago, when the city centre came to a standstill on a fairly regular basis and it took two hours to go from the bottom of the M32 to Anchor Road. Thanks to changes in The Centre and elsewhere, those days are fewer and further between now, so it is unusual to see gridlock conditions return in the morning rush hour. A bus has crashed into a signpost near Looe, partially blocking the road. It happened this morning (Friday, November 2) and was first reported at 8.30am. The bus has come to a stop on the B3253 St Martin’s Road, between St Martin’s and Looe. The vehicle had collided with a signpost at the southern end of the road, near the junction of the A387. Despite the blockage, traffic is reported to be coping well. There are no reports of anyone injured or if the bus was travelling to a school at the time. One person is dead and nine injured after a crash between a car and a tourist bus near Kingston this morning. Police confirmed one person died in the crash after the the two vehicles collided about 7.20am on State Highway 6, which will remain closed until this afternoon. Police said the person who died was a passenger in the car. The driver of the car is still trapped inside and emergency services are working to free them. A St John spokesman said one patient had suffered serious injuries, three moderate injuries and five minor injuries. The patient with serious injuries would likely be transported by helicopter to Dunedin Hospital. A helicopter was on the scene as of about 8am and left just after 9am. The bus, which appears to have been travelling south, is off the road, beside the south-bound lane, near the brow of a small hill. It is upright, but on a lean.
