DEONTAY WILDER slammed Andy Ruiz Jr for not "taking s*** seriously" in an X-rated rant after the Mexican lost his world heavyweight titles to Anthony Joshua. The Bronze Bomber was left far from impressed as AJ regained his place at the top of the division after exacting revenge on the 30-year-old. Joshua, 30, boxed expertly to outpoint American-born Ruiz Jr, six months after being stunned on his US debut in New York. But Wilder, who is known as a knockout artist, claimed the Brit hero “danced and ran” to win his three world title belts back. Yet the real criticism was saved for Ruiz Jr, who admitted "three months of partying" was to blame for his one-sided defeat to Joshua. Wilder told the Athletic: “People say I have no skills, but my intellect is high enough to know if I’d been in a situation like [Ruiz Jr] and something’s not working, you’ve got to change up my style.“I’m smart enough to know, cut the f***ing ring off. “Once … [Read more...] about Deontay Wilder slams Andy Ruiz Jr for not taking ‘s*** seriously’ in X-rated rant after Anthony Joshua loss

The pair's passionate kiss has since gone viral with the moment described by many as 'historic', coming less than a year on from Australia legalising same sex marriage. Ukip ignored complaints about ‘bullying’ MEP, say activists
A group of Ukip activists say they have “hit a brick wall” after complaining to the party leadership about the Scottish spokesman David Coburn’s “unsavoury, bullying and gaffe-prone” behaviour. Richard Lucas, one of 10 Scottish signatories to a letter warning that Coburn is “not suited to being the Scottish face of the Brexit campaign”, said the concerns had not even merited a reply from Ukip’s leader, Nigel Farage. The letter, which was sent to the party chairman, Steve Crowther, in February, and seen by the media this week, alleged a “persistent culture of bullying in the Scottish region”. It described incidents where Coburn – Ukip’s only MEP in Scotland – referred to the Scottish government minister Humza Yousuf as the hate preacher Abu Hamza and intentionally mispronounced the name of the SNP MEP candidate Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh in an attempt to undermine her. The letter, signed by five local party … [Read more...] about Ukip ignored complaints about ‘bullying’ MEP, say activists

Australian actor and comedian Tim Minchin has accused Prime Minister Scott Morrison of ignoring the importance of the arts in favour of church. The Upright star, 44, hoped for a leader who was more widely read than Mr Morrison and said the PM clearly didn't understand the significance of the arts in Australia. Last week, Mr Morrison announced he would be slashing government funding for the arts and combining the current Department of Communications and Arts portfolio. It will be replaced by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications. Prime Minister Scott Morrison and wife Jenny sing during an Easter Sunday service at his Horizon Church at Sutherland in Sydney Five senior department heads will lose their jobs in the merger. 'ScoMo spends a lot of time with Brian Houston and not enough time at the theatre.
