National park’s concern over 12m-high McDonald’s sign
Published 21 May 2015 Share close Share page Copy link About sharing McDonald's is to review the height of a 12m-high sign at a proposed new restaurant after a complaint it would "interrupt" views of the Brecon Beacons. The sign would be detrimental to the character of the area, according to Brecon Beacons National Park. It added it would create an "intrusive feature" on the skyline. A ride at the oldest theme park in the UK has collapsed leaving two people injured in a crush. Witnesses described seeing the Shipwrecked ride at the Isle of Wight’s Blackgang Chine amusement park suddenly lurch to one side. Screaming children and adult thrill-seekers were left frantically trying to clamber to safety as shocked onlookers climbed on to help free others who were stuck. This popular Louisiana chain restaurant to be next business to open in area by Costco
A Louisiana-based fast casual restaurant is the latest business that will open in the property next to Costco in south Lafayette. The store will be near the site Dave & Busters is targeting to open a Lafayette store. The location is ideal, said Kyle Stakes with the franchisee group opening the restaurant, with the development planned for that area. “We researched the market thoroughly,” Stakes said. “That’s a growing area. Perfume bottle manufacturer for Gucci and L’Oréal in danger
Heinz-Glas is one of Germany's biggest glass bottle manufacturers and produces perfume bottles for illustrious brands such as Gucci and L'Oréal. While the industry has weathered many storms, the current gas crisis rocking the country could prove fatal. At the Bavarian plant, almost 70 tonnes of glass are made every day, at temperatures of up to 1,600 degrees. Massive amounts of gas are used, which has become an endangered and increasingly expensive resource. The rise in energy costs is driving up production costs as Vice President Murat Agac explains. "Since the invasion of Ukraine, some gas and energy prices have risen tenfold compared to 2019 while other costs are even 20 times the price they were. "So, prices are volatile, but basically, they are way too high and it's hardly economically sustainable anymore." If Russian gas suppliers were to turn off the taps, the move would prove disastrous for the industry that produces a million of these bottles daily in … [Read more...] about Perfume bottle manufacturer for Gucci and L’Oréal in danger
