Debris from a United Airlines passenger plane fell onto a suburb of US city Denver, during an emergency landing Saturday. The Boeing 777-200 was carrying 231 passengers and 10 crew when its right engine experienced failure shortly after takeoff, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said. The plane made it back to Denver International Airport while scattering debris across Broomfield, a residential neighborhood about 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of the city. Where the debris fell The Broomfield Police Department posted photos on Twitter showing large, circular pieces of debris leaning against a house in the suburb. A CHILD and an elderly woman have been injured after the engine of a plane burst into flames shortly after taking off in the Netherlands. The southern Dutch town of Meerssen was showered in debris on Saturday afternoon after the incident involving a Boeing 747-400 cargo plane. An elderly woman was left with a head injury after she was struck by a piece of the engine and a young child was left with a burned hand after picking up a piece of smouldering metal, Mail Online reports. It comes after an "engine failure" explosion on United Airlines Boeing 777 scattered debris over Denver in the United States on the same day. ANOTHER Boeing plane has been forced to make an emergency landing after an "engine failure". The flight, carrying 128 passengers, was forced to land in Utah after leaving Atlanta around 1pm today. According to reports the aircraft landed safely and fire crews advised officials that the engine looks intact. It comes after United Airlines said they would ground their 777 planes after an engine caught on fire over Denver on Saturday.
