Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, has been transferred to a second jail amid two further felony charges. It comes after the 40-year-old, who famously married childhood pal Spears in 2004 in Las Vegas, before it was annulled 55 hours later, was arrested during the pop icon’s recent wedding to Sam Asghari. Now Alexander has been charged with grand theft and buying/selling stolen property, over an incident that occurred in 2015 in which he is alleged to have stolen a bracelet worth $2,000 (£1,650) from a woman he was renting a room from in Napa County. A spokesperson for Napa County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to PA News Agency Alexander had been transferred to the county jail on Tuesday, after serving his time in Ventura county. Gareth Gates has said he is ‘heartbroken’ following the death of his Pop Idol co-star Darius Campbell Danesh at the age of 41. The Anyone Of Us hitmaker starred with Campbell Danesh on the first series of Pop Idol in 2001, with the pair of them both reaching the finals alongside winner Will Young. Sharing a photo on Instagram, he wrote: ‘I can’t quite believe the news of my dear friend Darius passing. I’m heartbroken. ‘Darius took me under his wing during our time in Pop Idol, like a big brother; always looking out for me and for that I thank you my friend. ‘I will miss our chats. Simon Cowell has shared a tribute to ‘charismatic’ Darius Campbell Danesh after the musician died, aged 41. The Colourblind singer died on August 11 , with his family confirming the sad news earlier today. Following the announcement, a string of stars have remembered the late star on social media, including Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates .
