TOP Boy has premiered with its third season on Netflix, but interestingly enough the new series is being labeled as season one on the streaming platform. Fans have taken to social media to express their confusion, but there’s a reason for the change, which many first deemed as an error on behalf of Netflix. Here’s the lowdown… Why is the new run of Top Boy called season one on Netflix? It’s being reported that Netflix wanted to brand the new episodes from what we thought was season three as Top Boy. This evidently means that the previous two seasons are separate from the third run, which is why the streaming firm has decided to label those as Top Boy: Summerhouse. Summerhouse refers back to the Summerhouse Estate, the location which characters such as Dushane, Sully and Dris reside. The original series premiered on Channel 4 in 2011, but following its second run in 2013, the television network decided to axe the series, leaving fans in shock. Everton have consistently used the loan market to their advantage well over the last few years. The club have brought in a number of talented players on a temporary basis, while also being able to send out some of their young talents for some much-needed game time. Last summer was a little different - as the loan market was used by Marcel Brands and Marco Silva as a way to desperately try and reduce squad numbers if only for a brief period of time. Youngsters of course still went out on loan alongside senior stars, and it has led to a wide range of different results from their respective times away from Goodison Park. So we've got the full lowdown on each Everton loanee, how they've performed this season, and what the future could hold for them. Henry Onyekuru Loan club - Galatasaray Appearances - 43 Goals - 16 It's been another impressive time out on loan for Henry Onyekuru . Having taken their All-Ireland swagger into the Allianz League, which they also won, there was an expectation that home advantage against a Cork side that had misfired badly against Tipperary a week earlier would provide the required impetus to ease their way into the Munster Championship. It appeared to be all going to plan after half an hour when they led by four points, while looking as if there were several gear changes to come. There were, but it was Cork who were at the controls, accelerating clear of heavy-footed opposition, who just couldn't cope with the change of pace. Limerick were outscored by 1-17 to 0-9 over the final 40 minutes, a differential that would have been considerably higher if Patrick Horgan's shooting from frees and play hadn't been corrupted by a mischievous virus. He shot seven wides -five frees and two from play - over the 70 minutes, but in an impressive example of how top players work their way through problems, he scored 1-9 (1-3 from play). Seamus … [Read more...] about Limerick in need of quick response to save season
Notts County were relegated on the final day of last season when they were beaten 3-1 by Swindon Town. The Magpies needed a minor miracle to avoid dropping out of the EFL for the first time in their history. But as they tumbled out of the league, what were the games that shaped the season? Magpies writer Leigh Curtis takes a look at the key matches. Lincoln City 3 Notts County 1 After what had been a poor start to the season, Notts travelled to the Imps needing a big result against a side who would become eventual champions. In what proved to be Kevin Nolan’s last game in charge, Andy Kellett cancelled out a brilliant early goal from Lee Frecklington, giving hope of a shock win. Kane Hemmings then missed a good chance to put the visitors ahead and from then on it was the Imps who took control. With Noor Husin and Tom Crawford both inexperienced at League Two level, eventually the wisdom and power of Lincoln meant they ran out comfortable winners in the end. It was a fourth defeat … [Read more...] about The seven games which shaped Notts County’s season
After every Leicester City match, we score each starter out of 10. But one game is not indicative of a season and every player's form waxes and wanes over the course of a campaign. So here, we have taken into account a full season's worth of fixtures and handed each City player an overall score for 2018-19, as long as they made at least five first-team appearances. Don't agree? You can add your own ratings at the bottom of the page. Kasper Schmeichel He remains the club’s undisputed number one, but Schmeichel did not have his best season in a City shirt. In fact, his save rate, 65.2 per cent, is his lowest since City’s return to the Premier League, and ranks him 18th of the 24 goalkeepers to play at least 10 games this term. His distribution occasionally puts his team-mates in trouble but has improved - he was superb with the ball at his feet at Manchester City recently - while he makes very few glaring errors, unlike other keepers around the division. 6 Danny Ward A fee of … [Read more...] about Player ratings of the season
