MIKE TYSON was a 'karate master' who used a 'peekaboo' style of boxing, according to expert Jesse Enkamp. Iron Mike dominated the heavyweight division during the 1980s and 90s. Winning his first world title aged just 20, Tyson bamboozled opponents for over a decade, and was known for his ferocious power. But according to popular karate expert and YouTuber Jesse Enkamp, Iron Mike was also a master of of the martial art. Enkamp said on his YouTube channel : "To be honest, old school boxing looks very similar to traditional karate, because both are done without any protection (bare-knuckles), and you don't really use any rules." He also added: "As I like to say, don't be a martial artist… be a 'smartial' artist. "Mike Tyson is a karate master." Enkamp enlisted the help of boxing trainer Jay Elder to help his theory. But Elder didn't necessarily agree with all of his suggestions. He said: "That means Tyson's got to be quicker than the other person because he's … [Read more...] about Mike Tyson was ‘karate master’ who used a ‘peekaboo’ style of boxing to become the sport’s most feared fighter

Rishi Sunak has been forced to deny handing Budget bonuses to Tory MPs, after it emerged almost 90% of a newly announced towns fund will go to Conservative constituencies. Of the 45 towns benefiting from the £1bn fund, unveiled by the Chancellor today, 40 have at least one Tory MP. And around half of the towns are in so-called “red wall” northern seats taken from Labour in the 2019 election - and which Boris Johnson is desperate to keep hold of. Of the £1bn in newly announced funding, some £886 million will go to towns with Tory seats - 88.6% of the total fund. But Rishi Sunak denied the fund was ’naked pork barrel politics’. At a Downing Street press conference, the Financial Times’ George Parker also noted that Mr Sunak’s constituency is in the “Priority One” list for the new Levelling Up Fund, also announced by the Chancellor today. The Chancellor denied targeting Tory seats. He said: “The formula for the grant payments for the new fund, to give them some … [Read more...] about Rishi Sunak hands 90% of £1bn new Towns Fund cash in Budget to Tory seats

Germany on Wednesday took a step towards forcing companies to take responsibility for any labor or environmental abuses in their global supply chain. A new law (Lieferkettengesetz in German) allows for hefty fines starting at several hundred thousand euros if their contractors abroad are found to breach human rights or environmental rules. The fines go up to two percent of the company's annual revenues if they exceed 400 million euros ($484 million). The companies are held responsible for every step of the way: from the raw materials to the finished product. "This law protects workers from exploitation across sprawling supply chains and protects human rights across the world," Finance Minister Olaf Scholz said on Wednesday, adding "In future, it will be clear that 'Made in Germany' also means respect for human rights." The SPD-run development and labor ministries initially wanted the law to also target smaller companies, but backed down in the face of strong opposition from the … [Read more...] about Germany to implement supply chain law against exploitation
