A BOASTING big game hunter has been slammed by celebs and animal rights activists after a pro-hunting group shared a photo of her proudly showing off her leopard kill. The unverified image of the woman, only referred to as Britany L, was shared on US-based Safari Club International and has since sparked world-wide outrage. But it turned out it is perhaps no surprise the hunter was posing with the dead animal. For animal experts believe the slaughtered leopard was likely the ninth largest ever hunted. The backlash was first sparked by South African artist Sue Dickinson, who dubbed the hunter a “cretin” in a Facebook post on September 10. Before long this attracted 42,000 comments and 217,000 shares. AN American trophy hunter who sparked outrage by gunning down a rare black giraffe has claimed she was carrying out "conservation". Tess Thompson Talley was called "murdering scum" after she struck a celebratory pose beside the two-ton beast's corpse in South Africa. She has hit back and insisted the thousands paid by each foreign hunter helps African countries save wildlife. Tess told Fox News: "The giraffe I hunted was the South African sub-species of giraffe. Giraffes get darker with age." Tess also hinted she has received threats since the pictures, taken in June 2017, emerged online this week. The images were shared on Twitter by an account called Africa Digest. "He was over 18 years old, 4000 lbs. and was blessed to be able to get 2000 lbs. of meat from him.” Hundreds of people have now responded to African Digest's tweet highlighting Talley's original post.
