There’s plenty of exciting football action this weekend to get your teeth into, with important games in the FA Cup, Premier League and across the divisions in the Football League. It all kicks off on Friday night as Southampton host Liverpool . The Reds will be looking to take back top spot after being leapfrogged by City in midweek – they’ll face stiff opposition from Ralph Hasenhuttl’s revitalised Saints however, who have 24 points since the Austrian took over. We’re expecting it to be close game, but Liverpool do seem to keep getting the results they need – backing both teams to score and a Liverpool win seems looks a smart option at 21/10 - £10 on will net just over £30. Don’t be surprised to see former Saints striker Sadio Mane open the scoring either – he’s currently 16/5 to do so. Bet on Southampton v Liverpool here. Liverpool’s title rivals are in FA Cup action this weekend, with Manchester City … [Read more...] about Weekend Premier League, EFL and FA Cup betting odds and tips

32Red’s betting expert Jack Milner takes a look at the race for the Premier League title and Champions League, along with the Championship promotion race The international break gives clubs in both the Premier League and the Championship a much-needed chance to recharge their respective batteries before the final six weeks of the 2018/19 season. Both divisions have the rare feat of a competitive title picture, with Liverpool 2/1 underdogs to end their long wait to be crowned champions, and Manchester City 2/5 favourties to win back-to-back titles and 4/1 with 32Red to win the Quadruple.I cannot remember a year when a side have been so favourably drawn in all three cup competitions, with Pep Guardiola’s side avoiding European heavyweights in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and likewise in the FA Cup. City face Brighton in next month’s cup semi-final at Wembley, having got past Rotherham, Burnley, Swansea and Newport.Likewise, they eased past the trio of … [Read more...] about BETTING: Preston North End’s odds to reach Premier League plus Man City and Liverpool’s title showdown
There is no doubt who is Liverpool’s main man right now. And how they needed Sadio Mane. He scored his 11th goal in 11 games - which is impressive enough but, crucially, the forward was also razor-sharp to earn the penalty that James Milner converted to send them back to the top of the Premier League. How the angst would have enveloped them had they gone into the international break having not established a two-point advantage over Manchester City. In the first-half they seemed so in control, so superior to Fulham and yet their performance deteriorated, became sloppy and they made extremely hard work of this, relying on the penalty. That has to be worrying even if the assessment of manager Jurgen Klopp could also be seen as a sign of encouragement when he said they did not “panic” and “did not show the nerves you are all waiting for”. Fair enough. In mitigation, this contest came at the end of a week in which they have been emotionally-drained by the … [Read more...] about Late James Milner penalty sees Liverpool beat Fulham to return to top of Premier League table
The results are in and the crystal ball has spoken. As an extended exercise in foresight, I’ve sat down to look at each of the top six’s remaining Premier League games. And if it all goes according to my predictions, Manchester City will be champions by a single point – and Tottenham will miss out on the top four. In the title race, I can see both City and Liverpool winning all their remaining eight games. That would give Pep Guardiola back-to-back titles, and leave Liverpool with the astonishing record of missing out narrowly despite having lost only one game all season. If either side is going to drop points, I don’t see many opportunities where it is likely to happen. City still have to go to Old Trafford, and if Manchester United are set up to frustrate them – how Jose Mourinho would have loved that scenario – it’s conceivable that they could falter in the derby. On paper, Liverpool could also take maximum points on the run-in - although … [Read more...] about Premier League title race and top four predicted with eight games to go
Preston North End made it 11 games unbeaten inmidweek, coming from behind to win 2-1 at the Riverside midweek, and move to within two points off a play-off place in the Championship table. The Whites were cut to 11/2 to achieve a top-six finish this season and 25/1 to be playing Premier League football next season; I’ve seen much worse prices! Alex Neil’s side have a never-say-die attitude that has seen them continually recover points from losing positions and with confidence oozing out of the Whites’ first team squad, I expect them to prolong that winning feeling when hosting Birmingham at Deepdale on Saturday; PNE 11/10 favourties with 32Red, the Blues 5/2 and the draw 9/4.Paul Gallagher is like a fine wine, he just keeps getting better, netting his 100th PNE goal with a sublime free-kick at Boro midweek, and can add to his tally against the Blues. Gally is 12/1 to break the deadlock at the weekend however, I much prefer the 11/2 for him to score in a PNE … [Read more...] about PNE for the Premier League? Worth a bet!
