Jaguar Land Rover and BMW recently announced they are to join forces to develop electric vehicles, but what will the deal mean going forward? And, despite the tie-up, rumours persist of a merger with PSA Group or even a takeover. The BMW partnership will fall short of being any kind of merger but will see the rival firms working together to share the massive costs of developing the next generation of electric drive units (EDUs). It sees BMW and Land Rover reunited as the Bavarian car maker owned the famed 4x4 maker before selling it to Ford in 2000. Ford already owned the Jaguar marque and both were subsequently sold to Tata in 2008. ONE of America's most intriguing missing child mysteries could finally be solved after a bedraggled teenager turned up hundreds of miles away claiming to have run away from kidnappers. A "BRUISED and skinny" teenager found wandering the streets has told cops he’s Timmothy Pitzen – a boy who went missing eight years ago after his mum killed herself. The 14-year-old said he had just escaped on foot from two burly kidnappers who held him against his will in a motel and "kept running across a bridge into Kentucky." He was found yesterday in Newport, Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio - almost 500 miles from where Timmothy was last seen in May 2011. Witnesses said the "scared and agitated" teen with bruises on his face was seen running around for two hours before he flagged down a female motorist and begged for help. She told a 911 dispatcher: "He walked up to my car and he went, 'Can you help me? I just want to get home. Please help me.'
