Robin Dalton, fun-loving memoirist, theatrical agent, spy and early girlfriend of the Marquess of Milford Haven – obituary
Robin Dalton, who has died aged 101, was a journalist, party girl, spy, literary agent, film producer and author; she arrived in London from Sydney 76 years ago and lived at or near the centre of the city’s cultural and social life until her death. Her life would fill three memoirs; the first she wrote aged six, the third at 94. She was born Robin Eakin in Sydney on December 22 1920, the only child of Dr Robert “Jim” Agnew Eakin, a Northern Irish Presbyterian, who ran his surgery from their house, the only private house in Kings Cross, Sydney’s Soho. Robinson was an unused substitute as West Brom fought back to draw 1-1 with Watford , but the striker was given a start against Sheffield United in the EFL Cup on Thursday. Again, the Hawthorns took centre stage, and while on the attack Robinson saw goalkeeper Wes Foderingham off his line. Robinson decided to try and recrate Sarr's wonderstrike, but unfortunately it ended in embarrassment for the Irishman.
