The parents of four children are appearing before the Strasbourg European Court of Human Rights on Thursday to fight Germany’s near ban on homeschooling. In August 2013, the Wunderlich family had just begun their first homeschooling lesson of the year near Darmstadt, Hesse, when around two dozen police officers and social workers “stormed the home” using a battering ram, according to the parents and a religious freedom advocacy group ADF International. The children were initially taken away from their religious parents, Dirk and Petra, under Germany’s strict homeschooling laws. Germany requires all children to attend school, and homeschooling is essentially banned, except for in very rare circumstances. BREXIT has descended into a shambles that now promises to be a disaster for Britain and just as bad for Ireland since our Government has no plan.It might be hard to have a plan when Theresa May’s cabinet has no idea what it’s doing — but the worry is that Taoiseach Enda Kenny has a history of simply doing whatever he’s told by his masters. Our Brexit debacle is that we have a Government with no desire to take on powerful interests and extract a better deal for workers and citizens.Recent history shows that we bend the knee and do what we’re told, whether it’s the EU, the US or corporate giants.Kenny’s approach to Brexit is the same as every major decision in his Government right now.So it’s keep the head down, say very little, attend photoshoots with world leaders and set up a few committees and reports to defer commitments.Enda has an unbelievable capacity for rolling over and playing puppy when he meets more powerful figures than … [Read more...] about It’s time lapdog Enda Kenny stops rolling over for fatcats
