The Good Hotel Guide 2019 has revealed its 10 César award winners - including two Scottish hotels which are rated among the best in the country. The annual book is the leading independent UK hotel guide, and is published today . Two Scottish hotels feature in the top 10 'César' accolades handed out to exceptional hotels by the book's co-editors Adam Raphael and Ian Belcher. Singled out for praise are Kinloch Lodge, on the Isle of Skye , and Knockendarroch Hotel, Pitlochry . Ten César awards are presented each year to a selection of hotels which have demonstrated excellence in their field. Named after César Ritz, these are known as the Oscars of the hotel industry. These ‘tourism Oscars’ were awarded to Vila Vita Parc in Lagoa (pictured) as ‘Best Resort,’ Salgados Palm Village near Galé in Albufeira (pictured below) as ‘Best Family Resort Hotel’ and Vila Joya, also in Galé, as ‘Best Beach Hotel’ in Portugal. The Algarve won the ‘Best Golf Course’ category with Onyria Palmares Beach & Golf Resort in Lagos making it seven straight wins for the region.
