11 best work trousers for men: from smart tailoring and casual fits to heavy-duty styles, our essential guide
BE honest: how's your work wardrobe looking? Shirts and tops are often the garments most of us concentrate on when buying pieces for work, but with spring just around the corner, now is the perfect time to make sure you've got a stylish selection of trousers for the season that will look smart and polished—whatever your profession. Ensuring you have a solid selection of trousers to wear on rotation for work is key to creating outfit variety and keeping your style looking fresh. If you're working from home, the lure of joggers may be tempting, but putting on something a bit smarter will help create a distinction between work and home life. If you're preparing to go back to the office, lighter fabrics are ideal as we head into the summer months: a pair of chinos always looks timeless with a crisp shirt, or if your dress-code is more casual, a classic pair of jeans is a winner. If you work in an industry that's a bit more active and hands-on, utility styles with plenty of … [Read more...] about 11 best work trousers for men: from smart tailoring and casual fits to heavy-duty styles, our essential guide

Plan now, go later: Montenegro Bay offers Europe’s best scenery
AT the start of 2020 as operators upped offerings to Montenegro, the tiny nation on the Adriatic seemed set to be the next big holiday hotspot. Covid clearly put a pause on all that, but 2021 is looking good for travel to the black mountains and golden beaches of this Balkan nation. THE CLASSIC SIGHT Montenegro, which is not part of the EU, has so far operated a laidback stance on Covid restrictions making it a good bet for booking a summer holiday for later this year. Europe’s southernmost fjord, the Bay of Kotor offers some of the Dalmatian coast’s most dramatic scenery. In the few places where the mighty cliffs don’t plummet directly into the sea, well-preserved medieval towns squeeze between the steep hills and stunning waters. In the middle of the bay sits Our Lady Of The Rocks, a 15th-century island church. A short boat ride from Kotor town takes you to the island, where guided tours through the church and museum are less than £1pp. THE WOW MOMENT Take … [Read more...] about Plan now, go later: Montenegro Bay offers Europe’s best scenery
Inside Amazon’s ‘dystopian’ store with no tills, booze ‘bouncers’ and surveillance cams
I was one hour and 40 minutes and eleven miles away from London’s new Amazon Fresh supermarket before I had a clue what I’d spent in there. I was already home and munching on my impulse-purchased cinnamon scroll from Britain's first 'no till' store before a receipt of my purchase popped up on my phone screen. I immediately clicked through to the Amazon Shopping app to assess the damage. For £18.89 - not terrible, but not exactly cheap either. I visited the new supermarket at 59 The Broadway, Ealing, west London, on Friday as it drew its first flocks of shoppers curious to try out the experience. What do you think of Amazon Fresh - will you shop there? Join the debate in the comments below... How it works Surveillance technology allows shoppers to simply scan in using a QR code then place items in their bag. Instead of handheld scanning equipment, the sophisticated 'Just Walk Out' camera technology tracks shoppers' movements and determines the items they take … [Read more...] about Inside Amazon’s ‘dystopian’ store with no tills, booze ‘bouncers’ and surveillance cams
