MULTIPLE Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia podium finisher Rory Collingbourne has confirmed a return to British motorsport for the 2018 season, with a move into the prestigious Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship. Signing for Hampshire’s Welch Motorsport to pilot one of the squad’s brand new second generation Porsche 991 GT3 cars in the high-profile British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) support category, the 20-year-old from Newport is elated to be back racing on home soil. Collingbourne, who is managed by Veloce Sports, will debut in Porsche off the back of a very strong maiden season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo last year. A quick go in Jaguar’s new electric SUV gives good cause for optimism As a marque, Jaguar has traditionally nailed its colours to the flagpole of affordable performance. At over £80k, the First Edition of Jaguar’s first electric SUV (and indeed first-ever electric car), the I-Pace, challenges the definition of ‘affordable’. Then again, this is being touted as a revolutionary battery-powered SUV, so the big question must be, can the performance counterbalance the cost?
