Boris Johnson reportedly believes his former top aide Dominic Cummings has been "undermining the government" by leaking damaging secrets. Allies of Mr Cummings last night denied he was behind the leak of the messages between the PM and vacuum cleaner tycoon James Dyson, which emerged earlier this week. But a Number 10 source claimed Mr Cummings was "engaged in systematic leaking" because he is "bitter about what's happened since he left." They told the Times: "Dominic is engaged in systematic leaking. We are disappointed about that. We are concerned about messages from private WhatsApp groups which had very limited circulation. “The Prime Minister is saddened about what Dom is doing. People who have already caught the coronavirus ‘are not fully protected against reinfection’, study warns
Young people that have previously been infected with coronavirus will not be fully protected against reinfection, according to a new study. Researchers from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai analysed data on more than 3,000 healthy members of the US Marine Corps aged 18 to 20. They found that about 10 per cent of those involved in the study that had been previously infected with Covid-19 had become reinfected. Study authors warned that despite previous infection and the presence of antibodies, vaccination is still necessary to boost immune responses, prevent reinfection and reduce transmission. They added that young people should take up the vaccine whenever possible. A majority of Brits believe professional football clubs in England should be owned by their fans, according to a new poll in the wake of the European Super League debacle. An exclusive survey conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for MailOnline found 55 per cent of people believe it would be better if teams were owned by their fans, even if that meant clubs having less money to spend on players. Just 18 per cent of people do not think that fan ownership would be better while a quarter (26 per cent) said they did not know.
