George Floyd’s sister ‘praying’ for murderer Derek Chauvin despite lack of remorse
LaTonya Floyd has shared that her "mind was blown" the moment her brother George Floyd's killer Derek Chauvin was found guilty, and convicted on all three charges during his trial this week. But despite Chauvin's lack of remorse on the stand, she's still "praying" for him. Floyd died on May 25 last year after the former cop knelt on his neck for more than nine minutes, despite him saying he couldn't breathe, during an arrest. On Tuesday, Chauvin, 45, was found guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter following a three-week trial in Minneapolis. Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Thursday, LaTonya and her niece Bianca Williams reacted to the trial verdict ahead of Chauvin's sentencing. LaTonya confessed she never prepared for a not guilty verdict as that would have meant a loss in faith, as she was sure George's killer would be found guilty. Indonesia: Sailors on board missing submarine only have two more days of oxygen left

The country's navy has been searching for the vessel ever since it went missing during a training exercise in waters north of the island of Bali. The 43-year-old sub was conducting a torpedo drill on Wednesday but failed to relay the results as expected, a navy spokesman said. And now, Yudo Margono, the navy chief of staff, has warned there is only enough oxygen for the sailors to last until Saturday. An aerial search found an oil spill near the submarine's dive location, and two navy vessels with sonar capability had been deployed to assist in the search, officials said. Advertisement The oil slick could indicate damage to the vessel or could be a signal from the crew, the navy said. Indonesian President Joko Widodo invited people to pray that "the sub is found and the crew is safe".
