A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was raped by three boys after they stole her phone and “lured” her into a park, police have said. Police are appealing for witnesses after the horror event on Monday March 22 in Pepys Park in Lewisham, South East London. Cops say the girl got on a bus towards the area in the capital at around 4.30pm. When she got off the bus, she walked towards Pepys Park where she sat on a bench near the football cages. A boy approached her and was joined by two other boys, who are alleged to have stolen her phone and ran off. The victim and the first boy are then reported to have followed the two others to another part of the park, where the three boys are alleged to have pinned her down and raped her. The first boy is described as black, aged approximately 16 or 17, with no facial hair. Prince Philip: Queen described loss of Duke of Edinburgh as a ‘huge void in her life’, says Andrew
The Queen described her husband the Duke of Edinburgh's death as leaving a "huge void in her life", Prince Andrew has said. Paying tribute to his father, Prince Philip , the Duke of York said his death means "we've lost almost the grandfather of the nation". Andrew is feeling "very sorry and supportive of my mother who's feeling it probably more than everybody else", he added. Members of the Royal Family have been attending a service at the the Royal Chapel of All Saints of Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. Talking about the wave of affection for him since his death, Prince Edward said his father "always thought of others before himself" and described the tributes to him as "fantastic". SNOW is expected to hit parts of Britain TOMORROW while some regions will enjoy cold sunshine as pubs and shops reopen to Brits. Despite the sun it is still expected to be cold on Monday so anyone venturing out for a pint should probably take a coat. Forecasters say temperatures could be on the chilly side, with the mercury expected to struggle to reach over 8C in London. Met Office spokeswoman Nicola Maxey said Monday would be “a cold day with bright weather for most”, adding: “It’s certainly looking fine, dry and cold in the South.” England saw its coldest April day in eight years on Wednesday, with the temperature hitting a freezing -7.5C in Benson, South Oxfordshire. Gogglebox star Jenny Newby has turned into a TV detective in a bid to catch who the killer is in the cop show Line of Duty. Jenny is taking Line of Duty viewing very seriously and even has a notebook full of her theories so she can keep up with the fast-paced drama. And now Gogglebox has given fans a sneak peek of Jenny's scribblings. The Gogglebox account tweeted: "Take a screen grab and zoom in for your sneak peek into Detective Jenny's notebook as the investigation continues!" The close up grab of her notes shows a handy acronym guide and action from episode three. In there are her theories that it's "defo not Boyle" who killed Gail Vella. Ukraine warns it could be ‘provoked’ as Russian troops loom on border amid fears of all-out war
UKRAINE has warned it could be "provoked" into action as tens of thousands of "battle ready" Russian troops close in on its border. The West also now fears Vladimir Putin’s military squeeze on his neighbour may spark an all-out war, which could drag Nato into the conflict. Russian tanks, missile trucks and long-range guns have been filmed heading to Crimea and the border of the disputed Ukrainian region of Donbass. There were also reports Putin's so-called robot army could soon be deployed to the flashpoint border. Kiev estimates there are now 85,000 Russian troops between six and 25 miles from its frontier and in Crimea. The worrying news comes Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the UK and the US were "firmly opposed" to Russia's campaign to destabilise the region.
