Most of the time the sheer joy of having a puppy is enough to keep you from losing your mind over how much of an utter liability they can be. From tearing your shoes to pieces to quite literally thinking they can walk on water, it's impossible not to forgive them for the over-excitable behaviour. But one puppy is melting hearts on the internet after his owner shared the moment he discovered the perils of trying to eat a bee for the first time. TikTok user @Mathiiiel posted a video captioned: 'My dog thinking about that time he ate a bee and had to be rushed to the vet' showing the tiny black and white pup stretched out on the sofa. It then cuts to the next clip of the dog being held in the vets, showing his cheeks and neck to have ballooned in size to leave him with an almost perfectly round head. Thankfully, the pet made a full recovery with help from the experts and his owner wrote: 'He's shaking his tale so he's fine', showing it wagging furiously even though his … [Read more...] about Puppy’s face swells up to ‘look like an inflated panda’ after he ate a bee

‘Uneducated’ grandad, 63, who started bee business from council house kitchen table sells it for £100million
AN 'uneducated' grandad who started a health business from the kitchen table of his council house has sold his bee company for over £100 million. Steve Ryan, 63, can now afford an island in the Bahamas and a Falcon private jet after selling Bee Health to INW, based in Dallas. When asked by the Mirror how it feels to be a multi-millionaire, the bee boss laughed: "No bloody different." Steve said his obsession with "facinating honeybees" pushed him to start his bee product company in 1992 with his late wife Bea. He refused to disclose the exact figure his company sold for, but said it was enough to buy him his own island and a jet. Steve said he was able to travel abroad to do the deal as the government allows CEOs to go overseas to secure business deals if they are in excess of £100million. He was first introduced to bees while picking sprouts in a previous job. After falling in love with the creatures and the health benefits their products are associated with, … [Read more...] about ‘Uneducated’ grandad, 63, who started bee business from council house kitchen table sells it for £100million

Mexican strawberry farmers go green
Mexico is one of the leading strawberry producers in the world — and the state of Michoacan is at its center. There, hundreds of small and medium-holder farmers grow the beloved red berry exclusively in their fields. Still, incomes are precarious for many farmers, and monocultures and outdated agricultural practices have damaged soil and led to water shortages. The program Madre Tierra, which means Mother Earth, is training strawberry growers in more environmentally friendly farming methods. Isidro Ramirez is one of the oldest farmers taking part in the Madre Tierra program. He now uses an irrigation system that saves water. The Madre Tierra program involves the German development agency, GIZ , as well as companies that process and sell the strawberries after harvesting. These include Danone-Ecosystem , Frexport, GIZ, Walmart Foundation of Mexico, Nuup and TechnoServe. GIZ also advises the strawberry farmers as part of the project "Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Mexican … [Read more...] about Mexican strawberry farmers go green
